It's not idle papertalk or clickbait....both have spoken at press conferences and interviews.
Pogba to Real Madrid just feel inevitable to me.
Right. That's what I was getting at in a roundabout way.

Solskjaer is happy to go into season with squad he has. So maybe keeping Pogba and AWB will be all our transfer business this window. Maybe a last minute Maguire over the top bid. I hope it is not true.
Solskjaer quite clearly wants some more players. He’s said as much in just about every press conference he’s given. He’s just not throwing his toys out of pram like Mourinho did last year. And we should be glad for this as the mood surrounding pre season has been largely positive. Ole is a major part of that.
It will be hard to finish top 4 because......goals!at this point, I think we'll get Maguire and Longstaff over the line and be done with it. It's not ideal but all 4 signings would make a lot of sense IMO and it's something to build on. As long as we finish top 4 with that group, I'm fine ... then get Sancho next summer.
With Pepe and also Bruno it feels like clubs and agents are trying to create a market. I more and more doubt that we are even in for these players.
everybody says that, yet when I look at Arsenal and Chelsea, I'm hardly pessimistic. It will be hard to finish top 4 because......goals!
Yeah and possibly Ben Yedder if Inter finally stump up the money for Lukaku.at this point, I think we'll get Maguire and Longstaff over the line and be done with it. My prediction is that we sign a player in this window that hasn't been mentioned by anyone all summer

Unfortunately the reality.Well get Maguire in. Still, nowhere near good enough of a window even if we will have signed 2 excellent players.

I agree with the point in bold and would be over the moon if this happened. Another way out of this mess would be to sell to Jim Ratcliffe. Whose current worth is $11.8B. He is a Manchester United fan who enquired into the club but the Glazer's quoted a fee which he didn't think was fair.I have no idea who we are going to sign or even if we are. Really trying to be optimistic e.g. Axel can be our new CB. I wonder how we get out of this situation of deadwood on large contracts not wanting to move and offers we make need to be more than any other club would have to fork out.
I hope the class of 92 can be repeated against all odds.... its the only way iut of this mess..or a Saudi takeover
So the way recent rumours are going, I'd say we will get in the following in the next 2 weeks before the window closes:
1. Maguire - just pay the fecking money man
2. Longstaff
3. Pepe
I don't think we will get Bruno because if we really wanted him we would have gotten him by now.
I can't even trust the fecking CEO to sign one playerNo chance in the world we're suddenly signing 3 players in the last 15 days of the window.
I think Pepe is pure speculation.
Maguire we're obviously after, but surely no one can be confident it's going to happen. Maguire seems the type of character who both won't make a fuss to leave, and will quite happily resume where he left off next year.
Longstaff, again, who knows.
It seems impossible that he'll slot straight in and be a regular anyway, so it's not the celebration Maguire coming in would be.
But then I think of at least 2 of Matic/Perreira/Fred and McTom starting and it worries me.
me neither, but let's not pretend it hasn't happened before. Rojo/Di Maria/Falcao within 12 days in 2014, then of course Darmian/Schweinsteiger/Schneiderlin within 3 days in 2015.No chance in the world we're suddenly signing 3 players in the last 15 days of the window.
Because the fans weren't on board with LVG, Jose, and Moyes to the extent that they are with Ole. Also, unlike Jose and Moyes, he's actually implementing a system and looking towards the future. The only other manager who did that was LVG and he got two years.I'd love to know why Ole thinks he's going to be afford the time other managers haven't to be able to be patient in the transfer market, and build things gradually, it's just not happening, if we start the season as we finished it, then he'll be toast by October, I just hope the fans follow him out of Old Trafford.

Maguire and Longstaff are the ones that English journalists all seem to agree on when it comes to Uniteds interest. Still think those two will come.

It's obvious that Ole's been further constrained by the transfer market in a way that the others haven't been. He's in charge of a club that aren't in the Champions League and have been out of it as often as they have been in the last 6 years. He is also making use of the kids in a considered manner (unlike LVG who was basically throwing them at the wall and seeing who stuck) which necessitates a long-term approach, and considering he's not even been backed to the same extent as the others, it's obvious he'll be given all the time that's needed, because right now, the club is close to it's lowest ebb. Getting rid when there isn't even an obvious replacement will just make matters even worse.
Starting to look like a disastrous window in all honesty. That would be the 2nd summer we've failed miserably to improve the squad.
I’m remaining optimistic that we’ll sign Maguire and 1 or 2 others.
I think there will be more urgency completing transfers once the team return from the Far East. Easier then for new signings to join up with squad rather than training alone at Carrington.
By 'most fans', do you mean the social media twats on here and Twitter, or the ones who actually put their money where their mouth is and follow the team? Cos the ones that actually matter definitely is one of those... You seem like you're clever enough to figure it out, so I'll leave you to it.No offence, but what a load of steaming crap, most fans are very sceptical about Ole, he's unproven, and is only here still because he got one hell of a bounce out of the players when he first came in, personally I was more 'on board' with Ole been stand in manager, and then Poch and a DOF coming in at the end of the season, that was the sort of plan a proper club would make.
Ole will do well to squeeze all he can out this transfer market, becasue through no fault of his own he will again be the fall guy when the same old cracks come to the surface when the season kicks in, as I say I just hope the fans stick with him, and turn their attention to where it should be focused this time around.
