I follow a very realiable guy on Twitter (He follows everything about football in africa) and he has said this about the journalist....

"This journalist is like the "Moroccan David Ornstein". He is friends with a lot of the moroccan national team players, their families and their agents.

Amrabat and Casemiro are very different players. Rather that rotating the two to avoid fatigue, I think EtH would use one or other based on his team tactics for that day.

Amrabat is a lot more similar to De Jong. Only thing he's lacking is key passes. But with Mount and Bruno in the team, I don't think that matters too much.

Amrabat is also more of a high volume passer than Casemiro. It's a role nobody else in midfield has been able to fulfil properly since Carrick. If he can adapt, he'd be a hugely useful addition in that respect.

Good post

Cautiously optimistic about our midfield's quality and depth if he joins. It's been a decade since I've felt this way.

Won't believe it until Romano has his own shit Photoshop image created
Romano has been getting his photoshopped images from that same Ibrahim guy recently. Don't be surprised if Romano uses the same image.

I think against certain top sides he could play with Casemiro to give us more control in the midfield

I would really be interested to know why we aren't interested in Verratti. PSG is open to sell him this summer.

In recent days there have been direct contacts between Erik ten Hag and Sofyan Amrabat.

Manchester United is a real option for the Fiorentina midfielder.
Thanks.

Hopefully we sign him because we need a high volume passer in the first phase to provide variety.

Would be surprised. Only logic I could see is if we actually are selling all of Fred (probably yes), Donny (50/50) AND McTominay (doubtful?).

I mean it’s pretty obvious ETH wants us to be a lot more aggressive and in the face of our opposition.

Good signing in that regard. Can rotate with Casemiro, or play as one of the 8s.

None of those players are first phase players within the positional play principles and should be moved on. So it's very logical that someone like Amrabat is brought in to raise the level in possession in a deeper role. He's comfortable playing the hybrid #6/#8 role and it would raise the technical floor of the collective imo. And his price tag will likely be very reasonable as well.
