Keep in mind that clubs can also use these agents and other intermediaries to further their interest, which allows them to say that they aren't particularly interested or haven't done anything despite the intermediaries working on their behalf. A proportion of people think he might be a worthwhile signing to improve the squad and compete for a place in the midfield. No-one is expecting too much more than that and, frankly, half the people on here have decided he’s shit (relatively).
He had a great world cup but he is not really that great of a player. His defensive stats are woeful. He is a decent passer and thats about it.

Considering how low the transfer fee is and that he's unlikely to be on big wages at Fiorentina, I get the feeling that there's no serious interest in him.
