He has potential to be just what we need, but just like Onana has too many mistakes in him (none today thankfully). Freed up Mainoo a better version of him in front of a settled cb pairing will instantly improve us.

His best game for United and he saved it for the FA Cup final. Well done to him. Not sure if we need to make his transfer permanent, but if we do hopefully the transfer fee isn't too high.

Allegedly the agreed fee is £21m (€25m) but I'm sure we can cancel the agreement and negotiate a new one. He's entering the last year of his contract for Fiorentina. No other club will pay that much for him on his final year.

If it gets negotiated at £12.5 (€15m) I reckon it's a fair price for him. He's 27 not 33, even if he plays like a 33yo some times.

Mistakes made when rusty and played at left back, or after played any at all.

£12.5m would be a reasonable price, but I still think he's too slow for the PL. Maybe a club defending in a low block would suit him more. I like the bloke, hardworking, modest player who knows his place in this team, similar to Fred, but still, he won't get any faster.

Very good performance. Thought he was good vs Arsenal and Newcastle as well while people were not happy with him vs Brighton (did not see much of that game so can't say). He's probably not good enough to be in our first 11 if we want to progress but should we keep him as squad option? Perhaps it depends on our budget as well.

Fiorentina have big chance to win at trophy next Wednesday so at least he won't regret if they do as he now won with us.

Great game, can't say I didn't get a little nervous when he keep turning back with a load of City players chasing him down.
Always worries me when he turns like that. He turns like an oil tanker, and that's when the mistake usually comes.

He was great today, though. Fair play to him. He's had a good end to the season.

A few of us were calling for this for so long. At least we eventually played them together and it resulted in a very strong end to the season. Narrowly losing to Arsenal and beating all of Newcastle, Brighton and City.
Funny you who care so much about passing and press resistance are championing him so when he moves like an oil tanker. :D

This was top performance against best mudfield in the world. Covered defence, won a lot if balls and he was decent with the ball.
By far his best performance for us.

Think he was good because we had limited posession. Good at snuffing out danger and holding shape in midfield, but he's so far off it for what we need in midfield.

A bit like Weghorst last season, he seems like a good guy and glad he managed gave a good end to the season and get a medal here, but we can't sign him.

He isn't a great player, but he's someone that I'd have on the bench. If we plan of sell Cas and Mct, then at that price we should keep him. You won't get a cheaper bench option.

If a deal can be done cheaply, I’d like to keep him. Not at the expense of any incoming, but I think if we can get Neves in I’d still like us to have a pure DM in the squad somewhere.

Did his job well today. Really happy for him to have achieved something while he was here.

We have Europe next season now and we will need more bodies. Eriksen, Casemiro should be on their way out. That will leave us with only Mainoo as an option at two deeper position on the midfield, we will need to sign two midfielder and third to provide cover. He could be that third and be the back up to the first 3 choice provided we get him for 10-12 million price.

He did well in getting out to double up on Doku, very aggressive in a controlled way today.

I have doubts about his quality, there are lots of little things that just don't look right but it is very hard not to like him and his attitude to the game.

Was a phenomenon today. Still think he carries excess timber but he covers a lot of ground.

Strangely he even dealt with the City press fine today. Like a completely different player than appeared against Brighton. That, combined with his work defensively, made him my MOM for this one.

He has had some shockers this season, but I do think people exaggerate them. He's had at least as many games where he's been decent-to-good. And in these last four games where he's played in a more normal set-up with another midfielder actually helping him out, he's had three good games and one admittedly very bad game.

I wouldn't bring him back, but I'll remember his time here fairly fondly. He always worked his arse off.

Said for a few weeks now I’d keep him on.. yes he’s limited on the ball but he’s good at doing the dirty stuff which allows Mainoo and Bruno to do their thing.

He’s not a starter no but certainly good enough to be a backup.

Nice to see him end his time here in better form but you can easily get a player who has his strengths with a lot less weaknesses on the market. All the best

I think our team has been crying out for a player with Amrabat’s skillset all season. No coincidence we won the last three matches with him in the team. However, I do feel there are much better players out there with similar skills that we should be going after! Fair play to the lad though- was great today!!

But in those 3 supposedly good games, we had 26% possession and sat really deep and compact in one, we lost one deservedly and won a bit luckily while still conceding many many shots. Which isn't great when talking about a player who is supposed to be there for his defensive qualities.

That being said, I am happy for him that he got a medal today. He certainly didn't make because of lacking determination. He would've been a great player next to In-form Casemiro in the Eriksen role of last season. But with the emergence of Mainoo and the acquisition of Mount he was always going to struggle because he isn't a DM. And a good defensive performance in a very narrow and defensive setup as today doesn't really change that - because I guess nobody wants to see that being a template for next season.

He was really good and played with an intensity we desperately lack. He’s been unfortunate not to play more often this season but the reality is we need a better version of him and signing him would be a mistake.

He's not good enough but shows you the value of a player who just sits there in a disciplined fashion. Coupled with rarely giving it away and putting a shift in.

I've said this before, the DM doesn't need to be a world beater, he doesn't need to cost £100 million.

Look at the difference Amrabat makes and we could probably get a much better player for £60 million or so.

Just a game ago he made Fred look like Busquets and then plays a blinder that made Pep hook de Bruyne. It’s a mad game this.

He’s got a cracking pair of lungs. Will give him that. He chased down well today

He's a very limited player - well done today, but get rid. You see Mainoo next to him and it's just obvious. Both amrabat and mctomminay struggle to take the ball, think and move it on - get rid.

To be fair for his defense, he missed pre-season due to injuries and only joined us in the late days of the window. He hasn’t got a proper pre-season and proper chance to get fit and to show what he can do. Today was a fantastic performance. May be triggering €20m isn’t a bad option so we can focus the money on other positions. If he can get proper pre-season with us, we might see more consistent Amrabat with full fitness.

We've looked better since he's come into the team. No thrills and spills but plays the role well. Keeps the ball ticking over without being super adventurous, and works his arse off out of possession. He's also very rarely caught out of position.

Good game from him!

Good performance despite some limitations during the game (eg always backpassing). I was bit upset when he went forward in the last seconds, and he just fell over.

The pass was behind him to be fair to him. Hojlund was fouled which made the pass into Amrabat a bad one.
