Television Slow Horses (Apple TV+)

Just finished season 4. Wasn't very good and Oldman had surprisingly little to do in it. Also felt very unresolved overall, with poor new characters, and a bit too much silliness. Not terrible but a bit meh overall.

Binge watched the whole lot in a few days. Overall, thoroughly enjoyed it. Oldman is exceptionally good and his disdain for everyone else's abilities, even his superiors, makes the show for me. The 4th season is the weakest, and it got a bit daft (the Dogs who showed up at the house looking for Catherine was very Home Alone-ish), but I'm glad we have another two seasons to look forward to.

Finished watching all 4 seasons, great TV. I think season 2 was my least favourite, I just wasnt invested in the whole russian plot.

I'm going to buy the books now

Yeah thought the same. Disappointing season.

this slow slaps. while I agree that the criticism regarding some of the storylines is valid. I’m not really sure which other direction they can take the show in? I feel like within the spy genre there are only so many directions you can turn before eventually having to cater to the cliche “russian asset from the kgb era” or the “jason bourne evading security at airports” sorta stuff.
