Sir Jim Ratcliffe: I want to buy Manchester United | Will make a bid for the club [Telegraph]

Given that theses Glazer scumbags aren’t even talking to SJR, the fans need to unite and push these cretin out. Sadly, the Liverpool result and Casimero signing, has given this fanbase amnesia. When SJR’s interest finally cools and there are no viable suitors, the people who buy the jersey and continue to attend matches should never complain about the ownership.
I think the next steps are on Radcliffe putting an offer in. He the one that needs to push thinks forward. Talk is cheap, he needs to show he is serious. The only reason it has quieten is there is no new news on it. If he put an offer in then things will hot up again and put the pressure on.

That's the problem they will end up borrowing 300 million to revamp OT, the pay back 500 million to some investment company. Apparently they have not even spoken to Jim. We need to continue getting these leaches out of our club.
I believe that the average annual interest payments are around 40 mil (500 mil in 12 years). The average dividend is 22 mil, and I’m not sure what they take out as “management fees” but it’s probably under 2mil. Assuming 5.5% to 7.5% (US prime lending is 5.5% and high-yield bonds are 7.5% ) on 300 mil, that’s another 16 to 22mil. So a whooping 80 to 86 mil going out ever year. Club is feked.

We had to listen to Fergie’s “value in the market” and now to ETH’s “only sign the right players”. We could have been the Bayern Munich of the EPL, instead Jack-off Joel & siblings made us the jack-offs of the EPL.

Jack-off Joel maybe unwilling , but I hope the other siblings have been approached privately. There needs to be some coordination, but right now it seems like this is all disorganized, especially MUST who seem ready to get into bed with the Glazers. Only time will tell, but I fear we will be sat here next year still under these Glazer scumbags.

You can have your opinions on them but in this case I choose to believe the Muppetiers.

I've never even said the word "hate" in my lifetime but I bloody hate Joel Glazer.

In this video you could find out how Joel does with the club what ever he wants in the summer of 2020(And maybe It will give you some clue to this transfer window)

Jim's interest is plastered all over the media - It doesn't work that way. You never hear about genuine deals until they're almost done.

We hear nothing - It's dead. Nothing's happening. We're stuck with them.

Classic damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.

Personally, as much as I loathe that family, they're playing yet another blinder and the only way anyone is going to get their hands on United is by paying them exactly what they want. Everything has its price and until they get it they'll just keep coining it in no matter what. If you really do want to buy United Jim, get the wallet open and bite the bullet. I'm already fed up of waiting to wake up one morning to 'an announcement was made to the Stock Exchange'...

Once again why would an investor sell an investment that is underperforming. You don't stay rich by making dumb investment decisions. So the best thing that can happen is the team starts winning. If EtH fails or walks due to lack of support we will be stuck with these clowns even longer.

This is why the fan base should be backing this manager. Back when they had that flurry of signing impetus following the 0-4 loss I figured it was related to them wanting to ensure the club would be at least on the upswing and that made me think maybe a sale was coming. But now it's almost as if the big win over Liverpool returned that front office to same old same old. Gone is that sense of desperation, which sucks because this team is not going to finish anywhere meaningful if they lack the pieces to get through this season.

If by some miracle EtH manages to win in year one and let's say gets lucky due to a couple of the top teams not being themselves, then I would say the chances of these morons punching out would be the highest it has been in many years.

I think this about Jack-off Joel has been known for a while. Infact, even Zlatan commented on how tight fisted this club is. Despite MUFC bragging about being a “big club”, his pay-check was adjusted for a bottle of water he took from the hotel mini-bar.
As Muppetiers took pains to stress, while it doesn’t absolve Woodward of his hand in the ruination of United, it does place a lot of the blame on the stupidity of Jack-off Joel. This idiot, despite 17 years, still can’t tell sh*t from apple butter when it comes to football but wants to micromanage from Florida. This idiot wants to be Mr.Buck-Stops-Here, but when it comes to answering the tough questions, he just hides.
The only reason we have to put up with these scumbags and endure Jack-off Joel’s super punchable face is because our fans have the memory span of goldfish. I’m sure the Glazers have already made back a chunk of Casimero’s fees in shirt sales.

There's a reason the asset is underperforming. They have tried plenty to revive...they clearly can't.

Also, they would be walking away with MASSIVE profits. You must forget, any initial money they put in to purchase the club, they have already recuperated. They have been taking out constant profits ever since.

Also, the value of the club has gone up significantly sonce the purchase, so anything they get above the £800m or so they paid for it, will be all profits.

You do know that they've put nothing out of their pockets in to the club, don't you?

If they sold the club to a Ken Bates figure for £1, they'd make a profit

Well, fans near and far need to keep up the protest in any way they could. From social media to physical protest to match day stunts (safe and non violent ones of course) poster, banner, planes, etc you name it, do it. Whatever the result was on the pitch, whom ever we sign or don't sign force the issue. Even if by some miracle or hard work we win multiple trophies/ trophy by end of the season, still the ownership change should be at the forefront of the fans effort.

The only thing i'm a bit disappointed is, how fast the UK government went about ousting Roman, but cant do the same to the yanks. Yeah some may say its on the grounds of boycotting Russia, but we Europeans are we really doing enough and having none of "Russia" in our society, and do the russian public in general deserve this treatment for something their government is doing and not them individually?? i doubt so (but this is a discussion reserved for somewhere else).

This may not be an invasion with shells, bullets and missiles, but a different kind of invasion that's killing a cultural, social and community institution that was here before even those yanks were even born.

On the grounds of an offer is in place or not, since SJR is getting the silent treatment probably high time he goes hostile and force the issue. He has the blessing of millions of fans and that should be more then enough in terms of swaying any morality, corporate or legal means. Why not just rile us lot by a simple tweet, communication, press release etc etc and i think we all will be up in arms ready to take it to them yanks a few gears up.

Can't he just put a cheeky 5 billion public bid just to stoke the flames a little bit?

Nothing stopping him. If he really wants to buy the club and isn't latching onto it as a way of raising his and therefore his business empire's profile.

You have the money to buy something, why aren't you trying to buy it?

He's standing outside the shop telling passers-by he plans to go in and make the owner an offer. After a certain amount of time you have to question whether he has any real intention of buying or if he's just saying it because it's what he thinks those outside he's telling wants to hear

Great hearing the away end chant "Glazers out!" We want these leeches gone.

We need a chnage. Gary Neville will be involved, I'm confident.

He isn't fecking bidding. This corporate cosplay stuff is bizarre.

You can't fantasy book someone else to buy a multi billion pound business

This time next year we'll be talking about this imminent bid which must be true as it was in the paper once

This corporate cosplay stuff is bizarre.
I'm not sure what that means. There is a very strong possibility he will bid if he thinks it's possible, there's plenty on public record to demonstrate that. The key thing is to create the environment where the Glazers are most likely to be open to selling.

It's just silly. If someone is interested in buying something that may cost £5bn they generally don't hype up their interest in the media and risk inflating the asking price. In fact they're very good at being very fecking careful not have that happen.

Hating the Glazers shouldn't mean we latch onto every ridiculous media story.

Maybe he was counting on the fans to put more pressure on the Glazers to sell when we'll hear that the club have some interest from a new potential buyer

I see it as the glazers are in hot water as is currently, so letting them see how they turn it round. Ridiculed across Europe, fan protest strong as ever, pressure is mounting on them more and more.

Because they realize the don't have the toolset required to get the best out of it, so they sell at a relative high.

I think there is more chance in them selling if we miss another couple of CLs than if we qualify.

Whoever buys United will be someone we won't know about until they're fairly confident they've already got the deal in the bag. That's how these things work. Businessmen don't express their interest through any unofficial channel deliberately or accidentally.

It isn't a transfer story. There's no cheeky bid. There's no agents. There's no reading into there being a hidden meaning if he follows Dalot on Instagram.

By the time we hear of someone wanting to buy the club it would be after they've reached agreement with owners and are ready to go public. The fact this is being treated like a football transfer saga should be a massive red flag for anyone who wants to believe its true.

In a few months time that feckwit from the Sun will report rumours Bezos will bid and we'll have a 47 page thread of everyone asking "maybe he'll do it next Thursday after the international break" and bemoaning anyone who suggests a reality check

But the Radcliffe story came from nowhere just a couple of weeks ago itself, didn't it?

Him going public seems like a smart move to me at this point, fans now know there is a buyer there, something we were never quite sure of before, so whenever things go wrong, then this will keep coming back at them.

It seems very likely he's approached them to buy us before, and got nowhere, this is just the next step.

Well, Saudis were spoken about often. They'd been rumoured for a while. Only Glazers not wanting to sell did they t

This. Fans are no longer just piss*ng in the window now and know we have a viable option.

It certainly has helped me get behind the movement of Glazer out even more.

Nobody wants Bezos, Musk, Gates etc....Ratcliffe is a United fan. Even if you don't like him, which I don't, he's the best option we'll get. I'm struggling to work out what your argument is other than moaning. Do you prefer that people do nothing?

so you think Radcliffe is making it up and doesn't want to buy us?

what for?

What do you think strangers sat in their pants talking online about this is actually doing?

Do you think after 16 years they'll turn on the radio tomorrow and ask "Are we....unpopular?" and stagger back into their crypts before deciding this unexpected revelation should lead to a quick sale?

There's been speculation three or four times a year, every year, since 2008 of a reported 'credible' interest. Every year everyone's convinced its true and turns on fans who roll their eyes and recognise its just papers capitalising on fact some fans are desperate to throw money at any publication that tells them what they want to hear

Whenever the owners are back in news there is a new, unsubstantiated rumour of a billionaire poised to buy us. Funny that. Almost as if stories are being written because they know there's an audience who will be desperate to pay to read them

Trust me the first we'll hear of a bid is when it's already happened. That's how these things work. They don't play out like a transfer saga or WWE storyline. Fans are being obviously played. And this isn't the first time either

Convincing fans the Glazer tenure may be coming to a end has been very lucrative for a very long time. Maybe what would help is if we bought someone's excess Green and Gold merchandise stock? Because sending someone to the Bahamas for christmas will really convince those leaches to sell

Sorry I have no idea what you're talking about. Why is he doing it?

The Knights, Knighton, Bezos, The Saudis, Musk, this guy..probably three or four others I've missed over the years

Every time we're linked to a new owner everyone rushes out, buys newspapers that carry the stories and rushes to fill pockets of those who sell anti-Glazer merchandise to 'show these parasites'

"At least we're doing something "

Yes don't do nothing. Be a real fan. Im selling these GLAZER OUT badges for a reasonable fee.

But other than that I've no idea why there's this constant cycle of speculation about an ownership change

Can we have a sweep on who the next one will be in 4 or 5 months time? Bernie Eccleston?

so a guy with 12 billion quid just wants to help people selling anti-glazer merch, basically

There was literally 3 years between first reports of interest and the deal going through with Amanda Staveley, the Reuben Brothers and “a mystery party”(the Saudis) for Newcastle. Literally the story was very widely reported from 2018 through to last November or whenever it was finalised.

You’re acting an arse on something you clearly don’t understand either.

I just remembered the last five times we were here. But by all means convince yourselves this isn't just someone else's money spinner.

What did Elon Musk have to gain by claiming to be interested in buying Twitter?
