Shakhtar Donetsk vs. Manchester United

Good first half.

Need more from Welbeck and Valencia so RvP can at least be a threat

Fellaini has the touch of a rapist

I hate that Fellaini is playing so far forward and have launched a couple of balls to him already.

Other than that, pretty decent half.

I'm not bashing him I'm asking a serious question. Berba was more mobile than Fellaini, when he got going he had a good gallop. So stop trying to be aggressive an accept I was seriously asking the question, is he the most immobile player we've had?
OK, out of the hundreds of players United have had you want us all to agree that Fellani covers the least ground?
That this is serious question?

No, I'm sorry. Stick to to Moyes Out! monotony.

Decent half. I think Moyes is trying to make Fellaini a Box to Box midfielder. He's trying to cover the whole pitch. Very poor with possession though and making a lot of fouls. I think we look a very different side with Rafael in the side.

The main problem I have is with our recent service to RvP. We have been gash creating chances for him. A player like him has to come deep to take a few touches of the ball is criminal. We would win games so much more easily if he gets more than a few chances every game.

Yeh I pressed "post" before I could do it, then accidentally clicked "quote" not "edit" and didn't realise.

I guess I am a retard...

 I blame Xenforo, it's almost too easy to do things on this. I tried to edit a post once and ended up finding the source of the internet.

Very conservative performance, but a good one. Fellaini anonymous apart from fouling and giving the ball away, Cleverley been good so far.

Really good first half performance. Thats probably as solid as I've seen us play, away from home, using a midfield three.

Cleverley instantly looks a better player when in a three man midfield.

I think we've been decent. Proper European away type fixture against a team like this. I think Fellani has been OK, he's lost the ball a few times and given away a couple silly fouls but he has done well in winning attacking balls and making good little runs to provide options and stretch their defence.

Look at Cina trying hard now to win friends and allies.

No one likes you you cantankerous old cnut.

I mean it.

Could use a bit more directness from Welbeck - he's too often stopping things on the left hand side - but other than that, we've been solid.

however, if we invite them onto us all half and offer nothing on the counter (and let's be honest, RVP and Fellaini are not made to counter) we'll concede eventually.

We're dull, but we're winning. We don't look threatening going forward at all, though to be fair neither does Shakhtar. We're defensively solid, but totally crap up front. Still, I'll take it, seeing as this is the toughest game of the group. Just get the win...

As for Welbeck's goal, the defending was so atrocious it should almost count as an own goal:lol:

I know I often bash Fellaini, but a serious question now. Is he the most immobile player we've had?

He just doesn't look like a midfielder to me, he is slow, not good with the ball at his feet, gets caught in possession and only jogs back after he has lost the ball. Of all the midfielders in the premiership that money could buy, we had to get him. Just to suck it up I guess, he is the manager's pet but seriously doesn't look like the solution or even part of a solution to our midfield woes.

You give, you take away, you give, you take away....

Solid first half, defensively sound, Moyesy has got this spot on. Referee has had a few dodgy moments, I don't trust the cnut.
Some great retard moments in the thread too, spasticatally entertaining as ever.

Anyway, that was a good first half overall, most solid we've looked in ages.

I have to ask though, has Valencia really offered enough defensively out there to compensate for the fact that he's done pretty much nothing offensively? Would we really suffer on the defensive aspect with someone else playing instead of him out there?

Valencia look like someone who either has fitness issues or doesn't give a feck. Weird, as at least he worked hard when he was shit before. Now he's just shit.

Yorkie just called Shaktar "Shalke" and then said "Fellinni" did well. Is he our new Italian midfielder? Maybe there's a bit of skirt in the studio distracting him.

Immobile doesn't mean covers the least ground, I mean slow, off the pace. As I said in my last post I think he has looked ok without the ball, but poor with it.

As for the Moyes out... When did I say that? I've disagreed with some of his decisions but am I not entitled to do that? I have not said 'Moyes out'.

Thanks, he's a lot older than me in real life, you see.

It wasn't a sarcastic insult like 95% of your posts are, but hey, not everyone's perfect.

I like that you were upset enough to update with the second line.

working quite well so far, after a shirt time where they seemed to be full of sprinters that we couldn't keep up with!

Not much service to VP, or real attacking threat, but we've got that all important goal.

Staying as we are, and seeing if anything happens on the counter definitely won't be a bad outcome.

Shakhtar suddenly turn up the gears sometimes for a few moments. It could be dangerous. Also those cnuts have ball boys ready with the throw ins. feckers take the throw in as soon as the ball leaves the pitch. One second of day dreaming could prove costly.
