Shakhtar Donetsk vs. Manchester United

Just seen Moyes say Rooney wouldn't have featured anyway? What the feck is that about?

He was always going 4-3-3 then.

Could play Rooney in a 433, definitely would give as much defensively as Clev/Fellaini would do. Reckon it's more knowing he'd need a rest much like Rio.

On paper it looks a good team. I like the idea of that 3 in midfield for hard away games.

Yes it would have been nice to see Kagawa, but it's becoming rather clear he is not in Moyes plans at all.

If he isn't in Moyes plans, he had beter sold him in the summer and got Ozil.

I would have liked to see it, but away to Shakhtar isn't what I would call a perfect opportunity.

Yes, but the teams loaded with defensive options as it is .... Carrick, Fellaini, Cleverly, Valencia can all provide help to the defense. Presumably he's picked Wellbeck over Kagawa for the same reason. He's just too defensive-minded at the moment. Needs to take more risks.

Em, are you getting confused when he said that Rio would not have featured even if he was fit?

Dwight Yorke is such a terribly shit pundit. Always gets his words mixed up and just states the moronically obvious. Why is he always a go-to guy for coverage of United games?

Moyes needs some PR training, he didn't even need to say that Rooney wouldn't have played anyway but decided to give the journos a nugget.

As for Kagawa I don't know what to say, don't think he is going to be given a fair chance to get a run of games. Got to let Moyes do it his way but his use of Shinji is what has annoyed me most so far.

Well it could be to show faith in those he has picked? Making them aware that they'd have played anyway. Also, this is not a must win game, whereas games in the league now are. I do agree in the main though, he's almost too honest.

Eric Wynalda talking about how Rooney and RVP don't get along and he has examined the goal celebrations .... reminds me of quite a few posts on here.

He's been saying that since the season started.

What's with the English obsession of leaping on every little word that comes out of a man's mouth?

Anybody tell me where I can Listen to commentary for this game? Can't watch it via stream.
