Serie A vs La Liga Head-to-Head Draft

Well it is kind of a post 60s draft but without English players.

Since it's now open to three leagues could now block 3 players each...48 of the best players gone so would have a lot of 'new' players.

could also block any players who have played in all three leagues...

Good call, @Marty1968 - now your task, little whining maggots, is to stand by your draft master.

Bundesliga makes sense, since we had the PL draft recently.

Should be good.

Count me and Balu in too.

Do echo Aldo's concerns in the mildest manner possible - a draft that is a tad more restrictive in nature shall be appreciated if possible @Marty1968 . Love the Bundesliga addition though.

@sjor bepo -team up again?

Want to team back up again? I take full responsibility for this draft falling apart. Angered the draft Gods for trying to forge my own path

shame the first draft went to shit, we had idea to play catenaccio with La Liga players against Serie A....was really looking forwards to the drafting process :(

@Marty1968 just want to throw an idea around, it seem like this draft would be a nice candidate for chain rules, which basically mean you start with a player and can only pick up players who have played with your previously picked player. But you still have to have 4 players from each league. This mean you have to walk between league to league with "bridge" players who have played in both leagues. You can walk from one league to another and back but have to fulfill the draft league and nations requirements. This would be very research intensive though and I am not sure if 16 teams could form this way.

I like it! Allow for the chain to be broken once-thrice(depending on how hard it will be to complete it) and I think it will work perfectly.

Chain Draft was great and the concept should be used somewhat regularly. Wouldn't have to ban 48 players though.

What's your deal with these newbs?

I don't like this. How come you're even IN with these newbs? This should be investigated, in light of what we've seen recently with Blatter and Platini and whatnot.

I feel (even more) justified having celebrated your "Worst Poster Of The Year" award.
They're finishing up the newbie sheep draft. The final was slated for Sunday, and the original plan was for them to be Full Members by today at the latest. But one of the finalist managers has gone AWOL - so it's been delayed. These newbies can't be promoted until that's over because they're the ones who really discuss anything amid a sea of general disinterest (had a European Cup draft, and the vote margin for the final was 1-0!). As soon as the missing manager is back, we'll finish the final - and set them + @M Bison loose. Until that happens, I'll forward their picks. Protocol.

Imagine if the manager never comes back, newbies forever :(

Hmmm. Alright. But what is YOUR business with 'em? You're a newbie scout?

I say feck the newbie draft....I seem to recall beating sjor bepo in the semi and before getting to do the final I was promoted!

LVG wouldn't not pick goal machine Rashford because the under 21s had a match. Get them promoted pronto!!!

I think the 48 blocks plus blocks to any player who has played in all 3 leagues is enough this time round. Chain draft would be good for another one though (preferably one I'm not in charge of so I don't have to total head feck on checking them all) haha.

I'm out tonight so the next draft will begin tomorrow morning. Want to make sure we're totally nailed on the rules and participants before starting. In the meantime get researching.....

Clearly I'm playing so add me....

It will be a pick-your-own-sheep draft with 3 per team :wenger:

Wow, you're genuinely going for the 48 blocks. This could be interesting.

A couple of questions:

- Is it 32, 48 or 48+double-leaguers who are blocked? OP says 32.
- 4 from each league for a 12-man squad. How do reinforcements work? You could in theory end up with 9 Bundesliga players, plus your 8 from the other leagues.
