Sergio Reguilon | Man Utd Loan with January break clause

Even worse “who cares it’s not my money”. One of the most infuriating things to hear. And yeah enjoy Reguillon.
Yeah, but even if we have a bazillion dollars to spend, it’s not like we’ll go out there and blow it on a new Roberto Carlos just because Shaw is injured.

Think this lad may surprise a few. He had potential for a high ceiling but seems to have lost his way with Spurs.

Think this may be what he needs to. Quietly happy about getting him over the other guy. Time will tell

You know now hes going to be awesome for us and we wont want him going back in January to Spurs.

I remember he was good for spurs initially that some of their fans called him Regular Don instead of Reguilon.

Welcome Sergio Regular Don:drool:

Kinda of a stupid signing like WW. We're just after adding a number without focus on quality. Kinda desperate and didn't work for us last season.

Stupid? There’s an almighty gap at LB that needs filling

Have seen a lot less of him than Cucurella, which is a plus. Hopefully he'll do a decent job for us.

So my mate (who usually loves to hate on Man Utd) is pretty adamant that this guy is actually still pretty good. Says conte got rid of him at spurs because he can’t play in a back 5 (irrelevant for us) and then he got a pretty heavy injury while at atletico so they ended up bringing in someone else in his place.

Hoping he turns out to be decent enough till January. I suspect he’ll only play the initial cup games and sub appearances anyway, unless we manage to suffer another injury in that position.

He was in my fantasy team before. That’s all you need to know. Sign of approval.

6 assists in 20/21.
2 goals 4 assists in 21/22.

Remember when people used the ‘who cares that he cost X we have the money’ excuse for blowing hundreds of millions on absolute dog shite

Enjoy Reguilon

Who were you expecting we sign to replace Shaw and Malacia for 3-4 months? Do you think spaffing 30 million on a LB that would have been surplus by January would have been a good use of money?

At least now that we have Mount, I suppose we won't see Reguilon playing at number 10?

Wasn't their a huge fuss when Spurs signed him and there was some buyback clause with Real Madrid or have I made that up?

In the end his level for premier league was pretty average and Conte didn't rate him at all so no idea who he was even playing for last season. Valencia or someone like that?

They tried to sign Alphonso Davies as cover for Shaw but he rejected us saying 'this is clearly a short-term fix for you guys, you'd have to be painfully stupid to think you're going to bring me or anyone of my standard for what will be little more than a cameo role'.
The sarcastic guy who can't look at the bigger picture thus making a fool of himself. Congratulations.

Atletico Madrid.

Real Madrid
Sevilla
Spurs
Atletico Madrid
Man United.
Decent CV that.

If you are bringing in an emergency cover because of injury in last minutes of transfer window, the only options you will have are "rejects" of other clubs, no one will sell/loan you their first team player this close to end of transfer window.

This is a temporary loan cover ffs, will people stop moaning like we are signing an important first team player here.
We don't need to bring anyone in for cover, and if we do, why bring in a failed Spurs LB? We have Fernandez, Dalot, and Martinez who can play there bringing in a crap LB as cover doesn't make sense. I know people on this forum are pretty narrow-minded and can't look at the bigger picture, but our squad is looking more "Spursy" by the day. We're buying like challenging for 4th is our biggest ambition.

What on earth sort of quality were you expecting in either circumstance? The club didn't want to sign a LB this summer, it's a move that was forced on us by 2 injuries.

After watching a couple compilations on YouTube, I can confidently say that he will be good for us. All abooaaaard!

I think the club is ran by imbeciles, but i cant knock them for this, he's a decent option this late in the window, especially with the club wanting to commit as little finance and long term assurances towards any deal as possible.

We have Dalot and Fernandez who can play there. What's the point in bringing someone who isn't good enough?
What makes you say that?

Ahead of Dalot
The forum needs to understand the reasoning we bought a LB is to play at LB. He’s starting most games until Shaw/Malacia are back.

Why would you bring in a specialist LB to play LB & play a RB instead?!

It makes no sense! He’ll play & he’ll be in the first 11.

We need to get over it.

This is a bit of a club signing rather than ETH isn’t it? We were after him a few years ago before he joined Spurs.

You potentially have 25 games between now and January. Relying on a kid who's never played in the PL before and your starting CB + backup RB to cover is asking a lot.

Fair enough...it's not really something I'd given much thought tbh

But sure I'll take your advice and "get over it" ;)
