They had a little trophy presentation at the end and Ramos as captain wasn't there to pick it up.
Instead it was Ronaldo and I'm guessing the longest serving Spanaird outside of Ramos in Arbeloa.
Probably nothing but it was strange to see

Have Real only ever had spanish captains?

Wait, was Ramos not there at all or did he just not lift the trophy?

It's been Spanish captains back as far as Hierro I think but I wouldn't know past that
They cut away from the 'celebrations' pretty sharpish but it's strange they wouldn't send their captain up. Not only because it's a captains duty but to cement the belief he's staying

Apparently, Ramos didn't lift the friendly trophy after beating City, Cristiano did.

Aye I was watching it, Ronaldo lifted the trophy with Arbeloa next to him on stage. Not sure that means a lot however, as Benitez was also nowhere to be seen (I didn't notice him anyway).

Benitez was on the pitch. Ronaldo and Ramos went back to the changing rooms after they were subbed off but only Ronaldo came back out at the end for the trophy presentation. It's probably meaningless though.

So Ronnie came back out for the presentation and lifted the trophy BUT Ramos didn't bother coming out even though he is captain and it would be his first trophy(I now its not a major trophy but still) as captain. Something's not right here...

Maybe he was packing his suitcase.:D

Stop! stop it now we are grasping at every thing to keep the positivity train rolling. No need to be slowing it down with your "It's probably meaningless though" comments

He might've had wild shites from a dodgy Aussie BBQ and couldn't step away from the toilet to lift the trophy.

In fairness though where's pepe, marcelo, Kroos, carvajal, benzema etc etc.
They're not the captain, and they had to bring Arbeloa up to collect the trophy as the only other long serving Spaniard. They had to have asked Sergio to go up, or at least expected him to
Arbeloa ffs
Arbeloa ffs
Arbeloa ffs
He didn't wander up himself, Madrid obviously wanted a Spanish national up there and though 'shit, Ramos won't go up and we can't send Arbeloa up on his own as that would look ridiculous, we better send Ronaldo up with him'

Let the poor guy go already Madrid!! Free Sergio from the evil Flo and Rafa!

Something's wrong with Sky these days... lots of unconfirmed crap which doesn't sound like their usual gig at all. Seems like they're slowly stepping up from serious reporting when it comes to United and joining the attention whoring set of media outlets.

Prove us wrong, SSN.

If it is true, I can only hope we do not offer crazy money. A straight swap with De Gea would work fine.

Sky Sports:rolleyes:

In any case, on like donkey kong!:D

I get the feeling that Perez does want to sell Ramos. The hold up is that we (quite rightly) are not willing to pay the ridiculous fee that he thinks Madrid should get.
