Sergio Busquets for 25 million Pounds

He is a super player. But he is not what we need.

I think a Modric/Carrick duo with a possibility of one of Fletcher or Anderson (for a 4-5-1) would be an unstoppable midfield.
 
He's the best DM in the world I think, but I'm not so big fan of him playing for United, don't like his diving.
 
Its funny, whenever a Real Madrid or Barcelona player needs talks for a new contract, we're always set to bid for them.

For everyone else its Madrid and Barcelona about to break the bank on the player.

Mascherano is a better player than Busquets. I just dont think he is a Barcelona player, but defensively he is very solid, you have to give him that. I think Barca might drop him this summer. I am happy Mascherano left Liverpool, they are a lesser club without him.

Personally I don't think Busquets is going nowhere.

Masherano is better defensively,well when he's not being a rash lunatic, better all around though?, very debateable
 
I dislike Barca and I hate Busquets but some of you needs to wake up.

This guy is ATM probably the best DM in the world. The last two seasons he's one of Barca's unsung heroes. He have a very high "lowest level". Cover a lot of ground and is very good with the ball. Because he play's along Xavi and Iniesta it's not noticed but he fit in perfect in that formation.

He defensive work is absolutely top of the line. Together with Pique and Puyol he take care of nearly every counter attack without problem.

I think this article is bullshit but if it's true it would be madness to not take the chance and buy him. He's worth a lot more then £25m in today's market. So young and so mature and with all that experience it's hard to find a better player. Remember Makelele, you don't miss the horse before he's not there.

This is at the moment one of the best buy's you can find!

There are better options for the kind of money he would cost.

We have Darren Fletcher!! Why would we need someone like Busquets? If we are to get a midfielder we need someone more attacking, like Iniesta or Xavi, probably not one of those two. I hope Cleverley can get there, next season I think he needs to get a shot next to the other options we already have. Left winger is the priority on midfield as far as I am concerned.

I don't care about shit like that, as far as I am concerned there are four kinds of midfielders. central midfielders, playmakers, left and right wingers. He is a central midfielder who does a brilliant defensive job.

To me, Fletcher is a defensive midfielder because he does a brilliant defensive job.

(Actually there are three, because a playmaker usually is a central midfielder)

I'd see Busquets as a younger upgrade on Michael Carrick. He does a fantastic job at screening a defence but also at retaining possession in the centre. I agree that perhaps there is more need for a creative type midfielder at this time but i certainly wouldnt be too annoyed at signing a player of his quality.
 
I read the thread title only and I know it's bullshit. I bet when I skim through the thread I'll find out that I'm right.

Cleverley is a left winger.
 
He is a wide player, like Park. He will rarely ever feature as a central midfielder for Manchester United.
 
If we didn't have Carrick then I'd be all up for it. The lad is a class player and there is no denying that. He has all you can ask for in a defensive midfielder and also has a good passing range and a bit of skill on him.
 
I'll be honest i instantly thought what a load of balls but i reckon there may be an ounce of substance here.
Its well documented that around Easter time half of Barca would love to play with Fabregas annd so on. Barcelona won't feck about, if they can cut their losses over one players greed then simple.
25million to spend as part of getting Fabregas in...less of a struggle to shoehorn him into the team then.
 
Problem is, Barca can't afford to keep increasing players wages and while this unbelievable wank fest and success continues, so will player ego's. They're already broke as shit and this won't help them at all. I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of their players leave to keep the big names. Busquets and Pedro would probably be able to be culled. They've signed both Adriano Correia and Mascherano so its not as if they lack a defensive midfielder.

But I can't stand this fecker and probably wouldn't be happy about him signing.
