If it was true, It would be best to see Berba go before Nani. Nani is young and will be very good for us. Well atleast I think Nani will be good for us :D

btw, I think Diego M. hates us.

I'd rather cough up more cash. simple.

I was just playing devil's advocate. If I had to choose one or the other, I'd keep Nani over Berbatov, just because he is younger and I think that in the long term he would possibly bring more to the team mainly due to the extra years he'd have.

Yes, I hope to be proved wrong too, but at the moment Berbatov isn't as popular with me as Nani.

I think if any swap deal is to happen it is going to be Nani leaving. SAF is not going to want to swap one striker for another. He has always liked having 4 strikers (or 4 goal scorers) in the team.

If it is Nani leaving I can see United playing with 3 midfielders for the majority of games next season.

If it was money + a player for Agüero, who would you prefer we'd lose? Berbatov or Nani?

berba.

and i'm more of a fan of berba than nani.

but i'm a bigger supporter of the club, and nani is much younger and has the potential to come good, which would be brilliant. what you see is what you get with berba..he isn't going to magically turn into a 30 goal hitman.

My thoughts as well on the matter.

I'm one of Berbatov's biggest believers, but if Atleti are interested in him I would seriously think about it. If nothing but only because of their age difference, Aguero is definitely the future and the thing that sets him apart from many other talented youngsters is his mature footballing brain, he's just as good as Rooney in that department if not better. Definitely WPOTY material.

I think most people are against this kind of deal because Fergie overpaid for Berba and we'd like to see him repay Fergie by setting the league alight next season, but if there's one player i'd put him in a swap deal for, it would be Kun.

I would rather keep both players and get Aguero but you have to wonder if trading Berbatov for Aguero would make sense? I think a lot of people would prefer United going into the season with 4 strikers.

The signings of Obertan, Valencia and the fact that we have Park, Tosic and Hargreaves who can all play on the wing, not to mention Rooney and Aguero who can play there as well, suggest that if such as deal were to happen, Nani would be the player involved.

If someone needs to be the makeweight, I would rather it is Berbatov. I still have hopes Nani comes good.

It may well be a busy few week now....Eto, Aguero, Costa and Young.

Young?

Are you seriously believing that we will be signing yet another winger?

We already have Park, Velencia, Tosic, Oberthan, Ljacic, Nani...

Loving how conveniently everyone is presuming that just because we MIGHT (big might!) be offering Berbatov to go the other way, that Berbatov will want to go to Atletico Madrid from a club like Manchester United!

non-starter.

1. Fergie will not sell Berbatov after just 1 season
2. Berbatov won't go there

Agreed. How people lose their common sense during the transfer window is beyond me

I may not be, we could be finished in the transfer market.

I don't want any swap deals involved for any player we might bring in. Nani and Berbatov are two players who need to be given a chance this coming season as they have quite a lot of doubters. If we're getting another player in, it's a cash deal only, no swaps please.

I dont think we will see a swap deal anyway, I am pretty sure it will be a cash deal if we buy more players.

Stories seem to have cooled, and the betting market reflect this, moving from 6/4 to now 5/2.

Um. Nothing else to say really.

Why?

We don't need to be fcuked in the ass by another Argie, I don't understand people who still want Aguero, after Heinze and Tevez.

That's stupid mate. So now all argentines are like tevez and heinze? Both off those cnuts left because they knew their place in the starting line up was under a threat/limited. That won't be the case with Aguero because he's just brilliant and when he is costing 40m will surely be a starter.

Do people think Rooney will be happy to stay at United, especially in a World Cup year if he was a substitute and Chelsea or Real were willing to make him a starter? I think people are being harsh to Tevez quite frankly. He came on a loan, which is a trial period for both parties. He has seen that he will not be a regular, and decided not to extend. He and Ronaldo both leave with my blessings personally, I'd rather remember the good service Ronaldo gave the club, and be content with the fact it didn't quite work out for Tevez.

No one's begrudging Tevez for leaving and wanting first team football..
It's his disrespect towards Sir Alex, and the sort of comments he's come out with after leaving, that have infuriated supporters regarding him. And rightly so!

Tevez started 34 games last season.

He'll probably don't start more than 34 games at Manchester City.

You don't expect anyone to be happy on the bench. That said there's a way of dealing with it, and forcing your way back into the team, and you know damn well Rooney would go about it the right way

Besides which Tevez started plenty of games last season, 34 in total, with a further 17 appearances to boot, so his whining is ridiculous anyway

It's all the nonsense he's been coming out with since that's turned folk against him. And his impending move to City is gunna absolutely nail that. We'll be giving him a warm welcome back to OT come derby day I should think... :smirk:

Another day and people still refuse to accept it's not happening.
