Pogba's rapid
When he gets going. Hes very slow off the mark though
Pogba's rapid
Why are you people crying about pace in our central midfielders, pretty sure they don't need to be terribly fast. If you want us to speed up our play that involves moving the ball quickerby passing, one touch play etc, not being able to run fast.
At long distances yes, but hes very slow of the mark just like most tall players. Sprinting over a long distance rearly happens in football, only when the game is open and there is alot of space to counter, adding Savic would mean we still will struggle in congested areas.Pogba's rapid
SMS or someone like Neves?
I'm leaning towards Neves tbh

He's no slower than many other mids I can think of, Keane and Scholes were hardly quick over ground. Matic is slow but generally positions well. Unless this SMS guy is slower than Matic I can't see a problem
They were quick of the mark, you can be the slowest player in the team but if you have good acceleration that will be more important when you play against a deep team wich is what we face most of the time. How is being quick at long distances gonna help you if the opposition camp out in their own defence? He's no slower than many other mids I can think of, Keane and Scholes were hardly quick over ground. Wow, you really have an issue with tall players!!Do you realise we are second in the league and in the FA Cup Final 5th highest goal scorers in the league too,all with a bunch of tall players. They were quick of the mark, you can be the slowest player in the team but if you have good acceleration that will be more important when you play against a deep team wich is what we face most of the time. You also realise we play the worst football in the top 6? we are a elite club playing mid table football, maybe standar have dropped for you, but football is all about entertainment and i haven't had that watching us for years. I could care less if we finish 4th or 2nd if we just play the right football, because while Mourinho is here i doubt we'll win the league.Wow, you really have an issue with tall players!!Do you realise we are second in the league and in the FA Cup Final 5th highest goal scorers in the league too,all with a bunch of tall players.
Who are you after then to revolutionize this team?
I'm sorry, but football is about winning, if you want entertainment, go watch Infinity War or something. You also realise we play the worst football in the top 6? we are a elite club playing mid table football, maybe standar have dropped for you, but football is all about entertainment and i haven't had that watching us for years. I dont have a problem with tall players, but when your whole midfield consist of 190 cm players you cant compete against smaller technical sides.

The 2 need not be separate, but winning is much more important to United at the moment than entertaining.Football is about different things to different people. Many fans support clubs who hardly win.
At United though yes we want to win, but we also want to be entertained and the two are not seperate (or shouldn’t be) at elite level clubs

I don't see the logic, if you try to accomplish both and fall short, that makes us even less of an elite club than boring our way to a major trophy or two. Then we are moving away from being an elite club

Winning is only important if you have excitement building up to the thropy, we could win the title playing like this under Mou and i would still want him gone. If football is just about winning for you then whats the point of watching the games? you can just check result or highlights after the game. The 2 need not be separate, but winning is much more important to United at the moment than entertaining.
I don’t buy into the idea that ‘tall’ players can’t compete against ‘small technical players’
Then we are moving away from being an elite club

To be fair, it’s possible to play good football and win stuff City have done it, Liverpool are on the cusp of doing it, most of fergies teams did it. There has to be a balance. It’s not ok to say feck off and watch another team if you want to be entertained
Football is the biggest sports betting industry in the world, because people care about the result more than the game itself.Football is the biggest, most popular sport on the planet. People all over the world are ready to pay big money to watch games, both live and on telly. It´s because they find it entertaining, or at least hope that it will be.

Then go watch Tottenham and go be entertained as they choke every big game, at the end of the day I don't see twenty awards for most entertaining team in the Old Trafford trophy case.

Stupid comment, since I said elite clubs do both, entertain and win so why the heck would I want to go and watch Spurs?
There is no reason to get upset that someone is talking about United moving away from its original status of being elite if it doesn't want to both win and entertain.
Good/great clubs win, elite clubs win in style, is the same in any sport, the elite level performers don't just win, they win in great manner. Its no slight if we get back to winning that would be great, but if we move away from entertaining, then we are no longer elite.
Its the most difficult thing to achieve thats what makes them elite.
Re your last comment, Uniteds world wide brand is based on them winning and also entertaining, it is how we came to become one of the biggest clubs in the world with such a great tradition and history, also included in that was youth development which I am happy we are still maintaining.

Not sure I follow the logic here. We all want to be entertained by watching United I’m sure but it is the winning that makes a club elite. The two things shouldn’t be mutually exclusive but imo, picking up trophies on a regular basis gets you in the elite bracket.
In theory, if you keep on winning the big pots, big/star players want to play for you, the footy should improve and you potentially get both winning and entertaining. First and foremost tho, you’ve got to be winning trophies.
Real Madrid for e.g. haven’t been great this season (not necessarily saying they haven’t been entertaining- haven’t watched enough to properly comment) and have looked beatable in the CL. By most people’s reckoning, they should have been turned over by Bayern and yet here they are on the cusp of another CL trophy. That is what enables them to continue the self promotion as an elite club and attracts the big names as a self fulfilling prophecy (that and Ronaldo tbf).
Yup Kroos is totally attainable.I think he's too much the same profile as Pogba. Even plays the exact same spot. With the price-mentioned, I'd rather spend a lower amount and bid for a quality proven player like Kroos.
We haven't been able to do so since Sir Alex's retirement, so we should concentrate on the winning, then try to entertain once we recapture the winning mentality.Elite clubs succeed at both is my point, thats what makes them elite, as in they achieve the hardest things
Well, we've finished above one of the CL finalist.Yup Kroos is totally attainable.
He could potentially be winning his 3rd CL in a row this year, but he would be happy to move to United, who let's be honest are far away from being a serious contender for the CL
I think that's a bit of a cart before the horse mentality. Winning doesn't have to happen before you start playing an entertaining style, and often playing proactive and forward-thinking football is an avenue to success. We haven't been able to do so since Sir Alex's retirement, so we should concentrate on the winning, then try to entertain once we recapture the winning mentality.
Most people will have us believe that Liverpool and Spurs have better teams than United. There's a reason why one side has confirmed 2nd and the other two are battling for top 4 (theoretically).I think that's a bit of a cart before the horse mentality. I agree we are better than those two but given the disparity in spend we should be. Spurs are overrated IMO but Liverpool have gotten to a CL final which even if they lose is still indicative of their upward trajectory under Klopp. At any rate this is probably the wrong thread for this discussion so I won't derail any further. Most people will have us believe that Liverpool and Spurs have better teams than United.
