Correct me if im wrong but england is STILL part of the EU. As in, of this minute and until they are not its not an issue. He has already got a work permit for the EU for many years already and is protected by the same rights as you and me of free travel considering how they apply to footballers of non EU nationals.He isn't going to be allowed in the country. He assaulted a copper.
Lets not forget our own Rojo stabbed someone and had to return for a hearing after we signed him. So its nothing new to us or english football or the UK or the EU the only real issue is if he is sent down. Im not sure how it would affect after that but Im sure his team could argue he served his time for a relitive small offence and is not a direct threat to the public.
Think about it, they allowed Mike Tyson fight in england a convicted rapist which is one of the top 3 serious offences in criminal law. There is a lot of scare mongering about this going on here.
