SECOND NPOWER TEST, TRENT BRIDGE, ENGLAND vs INDIA

You Indians have me to thank. The pictures of the NZ cricketers gave the Indians motivation to play as good as the Black Caps. :)

Not watching but the opener's seem to be settled in with a lot of runs on the board. Batter's on top then and still the big 3 of Dravid, Tendulkar, and Ganguly to come! Then maybe a quick knock by Dhoni...

Not looking good at the moment

Did I speak to soon then.. I hear a wicket has fallen..

Edit - Jaffer!

Jaffer was undone by the bounce. Tremlett has been bowling well though. Deserved his wicket.

Getting steam rolled here

What do you expect..

The England bowlers aren't there best ones they have, they miss the likes of Flintoff, Simon Jones, Hoggard & Harmison bowling in tandem and on top form. With the current lot they just are not as good yet, except Panesar, and then they have to play against some of the top most experienced batsmen in the world. It was bound to happen at one point.

Saying that I don't particularly think the Indian team have as good as a bowling unit either. The conditions play a part maybe England could bowl them out for 400ish, get 350 and hope that monty can produce some magical spin bowling on the last day!

What , you see England coming back and winning somehow ?

No, I don't think it's likely that England will come back and win. I think England fans should hope for rain to call it off like what happened in the last match - to India's advantage.

Good partnership here. The new ball is due in a few overs, we need to see it out without loss till the end of the day.

Sachin Tendulkar scored his 11,000th Test run as India continued to build a first innings lead on the second day of the second Test match at Trent Bridge.

He reaches the landmark with a four through the covers - becoming the third man after Brian Lara and Allan Border to pass 11,000 runs in his 139th Test. He's now on 11,002 - 951 behind Lara.

What history (and Wisden) may not record is that the clinching four came from some poor boundary fielding by Anderson, who tried to stop the ball with his foot but only succeeded in helping it over the rope.
