They say in modern football it's not enough for a centre forward to just score and contribute nothing else to the team. So by that logic it must definitely not be enough for a midfielder to prance around, contribute nothing in midfield and just try to get on the end of things in the opposition box.
Why do we keep playing him when the oppsosition can saunter through our midfield and have a field day popping off shots at our goal?
Makes no sense, he has 9 goals great. But how many more would others have scored and how many less would we have conceded if we didn't play so many games with virtually 10 men on the pitch?
