It feels like he's been a squad player for years. Doesn't feel like it's a youngster.
This is what is most encouraging. Subbed after a terrible first half, that would make a lot of young players crumble. He came back in and was superb in the biggest game of the season (Liverpool always is, unless there's a cup final or league winning game).Delighted for the lad today, after a dodgy game last week. In that pressure cooker environment, especially after they got a goal back, it must have been immensely hard to stay focussed and disciplined. But he looked right at home.
He's a Matic clone. It's ridiculous how similar they are.
I keep getting them confused on the pitch, so similar in passing, movements and both tall tooHe's a Matic clone. It's ridiculous how similar they are.

"We're playing with Mactic at the pivot today."I like to term that central midfield combination as Mactic
I was probably the first one to point out that here. He's very similar to Matic in almost everything it's ridiculous.
His composure and maturity is way beyond his age.
Or Taker it's ridiculous really, this is his second time being taken down smakdown to the floor. And he just need some times to recover and get up without needing to roll around or feign injuries.Really like this kid. The best part of his game is that he gets up like Kane from WWE after a knock.
I disagree. He may be similar in a lot of aspects but Matic is much better on the ball and has a great shot. As much as I like McTominay, he still needs to improve on the ball and also learn from Matic how to shield the ball.
Matic is about 9 years older than him though. Scott still in his developing age so if you compared their quality at Scott's age and if he continues to develop like this, he can very well become Matic's successor.
I agree. Defenders felt comfortable pushing up knowing he would naturally slot into fullback positions. Not a natural intuition for Pogba to do.Starting to think that this guy may be the better option for a big game than Pogba, his calmness and positional awareness actually surprises me
@limerickcitykid still not enough?
