They're the stats off the interwebs so don't shoot the messenger.@Damien There is no way Phil Jones is 180cm.
Aerial duel stat comparison
Laporte and van Dijk's stats include their Athletic and Southampton numbers. Umtiti seems fine, though in England he'd be facing taller players on the whole and more balls in the air.

That seems more like it. Weird though how it has since changed.Damo, someone is pranking us.

Cannot be unseen. If his bird had nice jabs then she'd have the title 'Mrs Umtiti with the yum tities'
Genius
Would love to set up camp in here for the summer.. @VanGaalEra
Umtiti & Bailly
Umtiti & Bailly
I think we'd be fine at set pieces with Matic, Pogba, Lukaku, McTominay etc and crosses/long balls are more about positioning and Bailly/Umtiti are smart players. Not that I think there is a chance in hell we're gonna get Umtiti. As others have noted, that partnership would be quite vulnerable to crosses, set pieces and long balls.
Umtiti is not the right partner for Bailly, I'm sure Mourinho would recognize that before anyone else. It's probably just his agent trying to get his client a better deal.
Honestly don't like buying defenders from teams that rarely have to defend. He'll spend half his time watching Barca midfield and forwards passing the ball around lol. Let's look at players that have proven the know how to defend for long periods in games....
I like how his name is pronounced, Um-titi.
This signing clearly indicates we are about to announce Tinder as our sleeve sponsor, we are going all titties and Chongs.
Also can't wait to hear Martin Tyler scream his name Macheda style after he scores for us in the UCL final.
Martin Tyler - Chong with a ball towards Um-titi.. Oh yesssss, it's Um-titiiiiiiii!!
Yeah we should have signed Michael Keane because he was always defending for Burnley.
Terrible logic.
If anything, maintaining the concentration levels while only being called upon few times a match is what we should be looking at. Qualities required here are much closer to a barca than a west brom where the guy is used to 2 banks of 4 backs to the wall shite all game.Honestly don't like buying defenders from teams that rarely have to defend. We are stacked in terms of numbers but not talent. We need a top CB to go with Bailly imo. With 1 or 2 leaving.Bit of a non story for me, didn't this exact same thing happen with Ramos? Yawn
We are also pretty stacked at CB, so unless we have a clear out I don't think we are in for one
How about Bailly - Toby - Umtiti as three in the back and play a Juve style 3-5-2 or 3-4-3He's a £100m level defender for me.. if there is any chance of pairing him up with Bailly, we need to throw the kitchen sink at it. We'd win the league easily with those two as CB's.

Now that's more like it. A truly world class defence befitting of United. How about Bailly - Toby - Umtiti as three in the back and play a Juve style 3-5-2 or 3-4-3
With DDG behind them, we would be almost impossible to score against
