He was the most in form CB in the world before these rumors started happening. His form getting worse as the rumors of him leaving get stronger makes me think there might be something to it. Maybe he's just sulking because he's not getting the paycheck he wants.

Club president Josep Maria Bartomeu has left the door open for Umtiti by reiterating that no player is bigger than the team.
He told Cadena Ser: "Umtiti is very important, he knows that, the fans know that.
"He's only in the second year of his contract but our desire is for him to renew his deal.
"But, as directors, we have to make sure [players' wages] are within the salary structure to remain a competitive and sustainable club."

I think we will sign a CB. Umtiti is probably available at the right price, but he’d cost more than the proven and probably better Alderweireld.
Not really, Toby would cost atleast 40 mill whereas Umtiti has a 60 million euros /55 mill pound release clause.
Its just 15 million extra but Umtiti is 5 years younger.
Is Alderweireld better than Umtiti? I think Umtiti has been one of the best CBs in the world this year and is only going to improve.
