Wow haven't posted on Redcafe since 2020! Saw this thread when I searched Kone's name on Google.
On Kone, I remember many rating him highly after the U17 WC last year. Really happy we're pulling off signing top level young players. Probably Ashworth led this one.

Press resistant, good touch, comfortable on both feet, decent first touch passing, switches play well, long legs, tenacious in the tackling and good positioning with it too.

I assumed we'd see quite a few younger profile signings like this under Ineos, but don't know if it is something they've done more of at their other clubs though,
The more I see of him in clips and youtube videos the more impressed I am. Certainly has a lot of potential. Hard to know what level he will be when he turns up at training till he's playing with the youth or coming on in the first team but he certainly looks a bargain at presumably a few million euros. Some excellent passes, some good skill, some good ball winning, determination and tenacity. Almost like we cloned and rapidly aged Douka Nkoto up to 18 years old.
Needs to bulk up, will never get as much time on the ball in the premier league, probably means we aren’t getting Ugarte now!

Always enjoy a signing like this. Would be nice if we see him get a run out in the second half of the season, although next season seems more likely, maybe after a loan somewhere.

I would've thought it would be quite easy for someone who played lots of games at an u17 world cup.
That Mali team from the U-17 World Cup was brilliant to be fair. Pleased with this.
Vivell Masterclass? 
Everyone needs to calm down with the expectations of him. The guy is 17 and in his first season in English football. I expect a decent Yaya Toure esque season of him, I reckon 10 goals and 15 assists will be a decent return. Next season we can talk Balon Do'r but as of now it's a bit too soon.

Definitely looks like a Vivell signing. I'm just scrolling through X looking for tweets on this guy and seems like he already had a trail at Salzburg and they were trying to sign him.

Im a finn and in finnish language kone means machine. So he can't be a bad player. I have always liked him.

Athletic reporting he's going into the U21, which makes sense. Has he played any senior football?
Whitwell says we are going to play him in the u21s initially as he's going to adjust to life in England.
