Ruud van Nistelrooy | Leicester Manager

Hope he can manage to keep Leicester up and safe.

Never really understood why he wanted to be Manchester united manager - the fans kept booing him every game when interim manager.
What the feck are you on about?

Maybe I’ve lost my sense of humour, I couldn’t detect any in that bizarre post
Well I could be wrong, but I remember as a kid asking my Dad why we were booing Ruud so that's always stuck in my head.

Ruuuuuuuud

Anyway, not looking good for him unfortuanetly. Was always going to be a really tough ask to keep that lot up. I hope they stick with him should they go down as I'd love to see what he's made of in the Championship, the handsome bastard.

Too early for you I think, Mr Shed. Lightbulb after another coffee.
I’d had 2 already! Blame grandson shed, who inexplicably woke at 5am today.

I don’t think I’d have had a different reaction even with sleep though. Maybe I’m just a tool

Not if you have very few players taller than 6ft

The midfield is workmanlike, would probably be just Soumare and Ndidi infront of the backline which is tall and physical enough. Skipp can also mix it if little else. Not like Everton had man mountains in every posiiton as all of Young, Mykolenko, Harrison and Gana all under 6ft. Dwight McNeil just makes the cut.

Great result, that. Fair play.

and breath, have to say I didn't think much of BDCR starting but he got an assist on both goals big call that paid off and we're out the bottom 3

Big win. Think they have Everton next and that'll be a huge game

Thought he was beating Liverpool 2-1 at halftime then came here to say if he wins then arsenal fans will love him

turns out that's the women's score

A big win for Ruud today, they need to spend some money for him in the transfer window over the next week to give him a chance of keeping them up.

Well hopefully that win is going to lift he spirit and perhaps they spend this window to give him a chance of surviving. Would be great if one of McKenna and Ruud can keep their club up, as it's looking unlikely that both can do that.

That win for Leicester has just made things tricky for Wolves.

Delighted for him ….here’s hoping he can keep them up

Do Leicester not have a better player than Wout Faes to use? I have no idea why he gets picked by any manager. Tragic defender.

I like Ruud - but he is no magician. That is a terrible Leicester squad and very championship.

They are not staying up.

I can’t say I watch much international football but remember switching on one of the Euros games last summer and being genuinely amazed to see him starting for Belgium.

The sad thing is Leicester won the Championship last season with ease and now look like relegation certainties along with the other two promoted sides one of which, The Saints, could gain the fewest number of points by a relegated side.

In order to give promoted sides time to acclimatise to the Premiership it may be better to have a play-off between the clubs finishing 18thand 19th and those finishing second and third in the championship. Currently the three promoted clubs are little more than cannon fodder for established Premiership sides, a situation that discredits the competition.

That goal 10 seconds in toasted him yesterday. 4-0 loss to a relegation rival is a hard pill to swallow.

I worry Leicester will be trigger happy before end of the season and sack him.

They should limit the league to 18 teams at some point. Less cannon fodder due to the increasing gap between the leagues

Doesn't that usually happen though?

A team that easily wins the Championship usually doesn't strengthen very well and goes down whereas the ones that finish second and playoff winners tend to do better. Maybe the feeling is the squad that won the league should get a chance at surviving and they don't whereas the teams that don't win it know they need to spend to bolster their squads.

Or is that just a weird feeling of football?

I can't speak for Ipswich or Soton but most sides that win the Championship don't lose their coaching staff & best player, we have bigger issues, we need an overhaul of the board, there has been talk that the owners are finally losing patience with them but we got ourselves into PSR hell hence the lack of spending, also not wanting to carry unregistered players, we have 1 free slot in our 25 man squad and are had offers for Luke Thomas.

Why we don't just pay off Danny Ward who wasn't even travelling with the side anymore after his disaster against Wolves to free up another I don't know, his deal is up in the summer so wouldn't cost any more than keeping him.
