Rugby Union 23/24 Discussion

What an electric start to Leinster Clermont. Breathless stuff.
Outrageous passage of play just now

Also, I love Prendergast’s passing. It’s always absolutely bang on, runners never seem to break stride. Contrasts massively with his kicking

You don’t like his kicking? Out of hand he’s been excellent (if we ignore those two missed touches ) Off the tee, there’s room for improvement, to be fair.

Hmmm… Munster with a horribly error strewn loss yesterday. Leinster with a horribly error strewn win today. Ireland with a horribly error strewn November series. I’m starting to see a pattern here. And it’s not a good pattern.
Last week both teams looked superb and the week before Munster looked like yesterday but won, it’s week to week, I don’t know what’s going on with the mindset of these players, I do think the game management is hindering the way Munster play and the amount of injuries.

I actually ment off the tee (I wasn’t watching 100% so missed the missed touches). The few times I’ve watched him he’s missed some very getable kicks. Sorry for Ireland is I don’t think there’s a great alternative if he plays 10, I think the next in line is probably JGP? No idea for Leinster, maybe the same

Imagine going all the way to Italy to watch a 2nd/3rd string lose in the last second. Strange one from JvG to insist on rotating that heavily.

Maybe he thinks after the La Rochelle defeat, with Leinster to come, that there’s no point qualifying if you’re going to be seeded really low for the knockouts.

Newcastle away next week and I really think a few could have been rested then instead.

Decent news on the injury front for Casey, it's his meniscus that he injured, hrs booked for surgery and could be back in 8 weeks, it's an area we are alright in with Murray and Patterson.

Most of our tries have been on the wings, that doesn't aid him in his kicking endeavors, also 2 of the games were in storms, still it isn't good enough

Aye, fair. It does get pretty breezy in the South West! Not a breath of wind tonight by the looks of things. Currently a conversion the difference between the two teams.

EDIT: Spoke too soon. Great try. Another touchline conversion for Jack!

Seemed fairly dirty to me. I see some people saying on Twitter that's it was a soft red but it looked pretty reckless/ deliberate to me.
It was dirty, but I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt, it looked like he was attempting to catch/lift the lower leg until he got an help from behind which made it all a little to fast for him, hopefully Nank is ok but I’d be surprised, oh and what were ye thinking in leaving Farrell go.

It’s good to see some young players getting a run out as well in O Connell and coughlan who looked quite composed and the jersey fit him unlike last season when it was 2 sizes to big, Ulster have a big talent in the front row in Wilson he had some big carries into contact for them.

Apparently his injury record? I don't remember why we let him go but we were all gutted when we did. He's always been that gamechanging player.

@T00lsh3d tough afternoon for Doncaster down in Cornwall. That might be the coldest I’ve ever been at a game of rugby.
