We’ll be interesting to see how he fairs defensively. The argument against Marcus Smith at international level was always his size, despite him being a tenacious tackler. I haven’t watched enough of Prendergast but I imagine he can get away with it at Leinster with their dominance and the quality in their back row. Might be a bit different at test level

He came on against Argentina and then started against Fiji and Australia and didn't look out of place.

He got a stupid sin binning against Fiji for a shoulder barge but should learn from that.

I wonder if they targeted him effectively as he was still a bit unknown. If he can survive France running Danty at him off every set piece I’ll be a believer
