Holy shit! Heartbreaking for Wales, they were brilliant today. A bit like Ireland today, maybe a sign that the coaching staff can come good.

It's absolutely crazy when these guys are playing at the end with the knowledge that any mistake & it's game over and they are just so perfect

Wales threw it away. Man up and 10 points ahead then just collapsed.
This is what's gonna bug me about that game. Brilliant game but with a man advantage after a ridiculous eye gouge, we just lost all discipline and let the grand slam slip away. Bloody painful.

I'd probably agree with that, but they were heading to cards themselves regardless and they should probably have come sooner. The better team won.

I feel that it was a draw, Wales were very good during the first 30 minutes after the ref let them foul in rucks for some reason but France still didn't manage the game well enough.

congratulations

amazing game.

No idea how some people (not you) think the red wasn't a red and still think it was a penalty try in the first half (as does Martin Johnson) but plenty arguable decisions and it's 32-30. End of.

At the start of this I thought we'd be fifth. Hurts now but we've played well overall including tonight.

cheers

It all comes down to the decision made on the field. Then they weigh up the evidence to overturn that decision.

I think they should just leave any score to the TMO.

I think Pearcsie asked Barnesie the wrong question. He shouldn't have said onfield decision try, there's no way he had a view to be able to call that.

Everyone thinks the red was a red.

What a team you'll be if you can get better at game management though. Exciting times.

The last two games have made me think about the fact that there is a case to only use Vincent or Ntamack at 12 because they are better at reading the game than Jalibert, Ntamack would be the preferred option since that''s his main role for Toulouse. I like Jalibert but he is more of a game breaker than a game manager.

I was annoyed by the red card because I felt that the ref was allowing Wales to get away with a lot, the actual offence in itself was obviously the right decision . I hated how the commentators were behaving , almost begging for a red card .

I am also not sure about the ref - Tmo relationship in general in rugby . Some refs try to stay in control while at times today it felt like Barnes was having a lot of say which is something that would be really looked down upon in football

Injokes

Yeah I've no idea what he was thinking there.

Interesting what O'Gara said about the red. According to him in domestic competition in France, it's often not even a penalty for that type of thing.

He's coaching in France so he'd know. He was saying the application of the laws in relation to it is wildly inconsistent and the home team might get away with it but the away team wouldn't etc.

I know he is, but the law is the law surely. If there's a problem with the application of it to allow eyegougers to get away with it, that's a big issue for French domestic rugby.

I'm a little wary of someone who's coaching and has skin in the game making a comment like that. Something makes me be cautious of it.

He isn't wrong and if you go below Top 14 then it gets rougher. But I still think that it's a red card because there is a need for standards and accountability for players, even if i don't think that Willemse tried to target the eyes I'm pretty sure that he let his hand slip on purpose and grabbed something. That's also a South African thing, on that topic the most savage games you can see are South Africa-France when both teams are up to it.
