Wilkin Ford 21-3 Argentina

Vintage England.... except they'd do it with 15 men back in the day

Currently Argentina registered 0 offloads, 1 maul won and conceded 12 penalties.

Argentina have been riddled with handling errors and such poor discipline.

England have taken their chances and fair play for the drop kicks, something that I’m surprised isn’t utilised more. They don’t even look a man down.

Argentina refuse to try and stretch things to try and take advantage of the gaps that might appear with a man down. They’re likely not doing that as their confidence will be rock bottom with all the mistakes they keep making.

Easy win for England now I foresee.

My lads wondering what’s going on with all these shots at goal, I’m telling him about the glorious days of Wilko slotting them from anywhere

Ford can drop goal from the half way... but not kick a penalty from there when his boot is sizzling? That's a decision that sometimes I generally don't get. I know Daly's got the massive boot, but just go with the sizzling boot sometimes.

This is one of the worst international displays I’ve ever seen by any team. I’m a Scotland fan and that is not something to be taken lightly.

I was thinking about Scotland and Italy managing to lose games against a poor french team with the same formula Argentina are following.

Ben Earl with a good time to have his best game in an England shirt

Argentina are absolutely rubbish
They’re not actually that bad though, within the last 8 weeks, they’ve beaten Australia and lost to SA by a point.

Tonight they have been utterly shambolic. Seriously poor, and England have been taking advantage of their poor discipline and decision making. They still refuse to go wide.

Read on a French forum :
"Very pleasing to see Argentine lose to a team playing in French colours."

Raynal should be fired. You can't give penalties to Argentina that quickly in rucks and let several english players commit fauls and just warn them. Consistency is everything.

No idea what's happened to them but they're headless chickens.

What you have said would back up my point of the Southern Hemisphere sides losing a step in the last 4 years.

Didn't expect the argies to be this crap.

They INSIST on giving it to their forwards to go to ground and consistently give away penalties. My god man.

I’d have formed, grown and blown a brain aneurysm in the last 70 minutes if I was on the Argentinian coaching team.

Either Owen Farrell is serious worried that Argentina can pull off 3 converted tries in 10 minutes.... or well, yeah, George Ford! He may be pleased, but he's the least pleased Englishman that's been shown in this half

I'm no great watcher of rugby to be fair, just tune in for the big games/WC... But yeah, thought they were meant to be a lot better then whatever this is.

Feels like there's barely been any actually rugby in this half... Just short bursts then a penalty, rinse repeat. Not a great spectacle at all, but then I guess that was dictated by the red card

This is true. It’s just been Argentina shitting the bed at the breakdown and England fizzing in the penalties.

Irritatingly from a Scottish perspective we have to endure the inevitable wankathon of how England could get to the final in the media. Then inevitably Scotland play shite tomorrow and SA play the silkiest, most glorious rugby you’ve ever seen and we get absolutely shafted.

Bah. I’m just grumpy.

Well played England though. Kate’s face helped a bit too.
