Poor game to watch this.
England look short of confidence and invention. This is bizarre. 40 minutes gone, they still need 4 tries and haven't looked remotely like getting one.
I don't understand kicking penalties with the situation they're in.
Aye. I can understand trying to win the game first and focus on tries then but not when you look as unlikely to get tries at any point as they currently do.
They're playing France (at home) like you would Italy, as if they'll melt going a penalty or two behind. Daft.

Anon: It makes sense to takes the points at this stage, France are liable to let their heads drop when behind and England are capable of rattling in a few tries in a short period. I wonder also if biggest priority is to win today, rather than the Six Nations. All about preparing for the World Cup.
Put your names on messages please...
World cup is so far away. 2 years is a long time in rugbyRight on cue, look at this rubbish on the BBC match tracker..
FixedEngland not contestinggarryowensat all. Easy wins for France in every contest. It's very telling.
The penalty try was because it would have been a try without the foul. The yellow was for dangerous play. Right call in my opinion.Yellow AND penalty try seems like double punishment no?
Two punishments for one incident. The penalty try was because it would have been a try without the foul. The yellow was for dangerous play. Right call in my opinion.

Schoolboy error.FFS Beauxis.
I disagree with you too. I think it's appropriate punishment.
Im not a rules expert so you are probably right. Just seems like the red card and penalty thing in football. But technically two fouls, high tackle and illegally preventing a try.
If you gave a penalty away in football with serious foul play you would concede the penalty and get sent off.Two punishments for one incident.
Is a high tackle serious foul play?If you gave a penalty away in football with serious foul play you would concede the penalty and get sent off.

Yeah.Is a high tackle serious foul play?
Yep. Neck contact not allowed in the new rules. And if there's an element of a swinging arm, you get a red now.
Yes, it's a direct yellow unless you slip from under to above the shoulders. In that particular case you have two yellow card offenses.
Foul play / dangerous play according to google.Yeah.
