Ruben Amorim - Manchester United Head Coach

We are 1 goal away from 500 goals during Amorim's stint. Just oficial matches.

Looks harsh as a red since he's actively trying to get his arm out of the way, but he's still stopped the goal. Rough call but the right call.

EDIT: Good use of VAR IMO - Danilo on the line would've effected the block on the line, but still a penalty. I appreciated the explanation to the crowd from the ref as well.

The power he as in his shots. Wow wouldn’t like to get in the way of one of them

I don’t know if anyone else is watching the Gol Tv stream but the commentator is horrendous. I’ve muted the stream.

I think Amorim is going to get some joy going forward at OT, the space that is available on the pitch will be perfect for him, going the other way might be an issue.

Hope we score a couple more so we have some margin for a Nani goal. I want to see if he still does his celebration at 40 years of age.

I was on it. He’s so atrocious that he gave me hope that maybe I can try commentary as a profession. I genuinely think I can do a better job than him.

Do you think we could be in for him next summer?
I see no reason for any top club in Europe to not be in for him.
He's such a great player. One of the best to come out of the portuguese league in the past 30 years.

I'm starting to get second thoughts. This looks like a farmer's league.

He's performing well against Benfica and Porto, both really good teams. They're performing well in Europe too. But yes, this league is nothing special, half of them cannon fodder for the top 3.

I can remember when we got EtH, this place was going into paroxysms of onanistic delight. I am looking into the future and can just see, when he doesn't deliver the Premiership, FA Cup and European Cup within his first 2 years, this place will then be calling for his head. Hopefully INEOS have put a good management team in place and we won't be spunking £80 mill on misfits.
There's a difference between not delivering a trophy and making backwards progress. Sure, we were winning trophies but we were clearly getting worse the longer ETH remained in charge. That's the opposite effect that you'd want a coach to have.

I think most fans would be happy to see forward progress from season to season, similar to what Arteta did at with Arsenal, over trophies.

We need a Nani screamer in the second half

Nani appreciation post.

I'm watching with Portuguese commentary on Sport TV 1, which doesn't seem to have the issues that others have mentioned about Gol TV.
I watch with mute on since most commentators are annoying to me. I usually go to the stadium tbf but this year I didn't buy a season ticket since I have other priorities.
