Round of 16 | Switzerland vs Italy | Germany vs Denmark

If the game isn't finished by midnight, both teams get eliminated.

Hojlund is Lukaku without the goal threat. He’s just doesn’t look as clumsy even though he’s clumsy himself.

Miserable that Michael Oliver cannot decide himself that the match must be interrupted due to thunder, but must have calls from the Danish players. He should have stopped it a long time ago.

A few years ago, the Danish player Jonathan Richter was struck by lightning in a match with fatal consequences. (Incidentally, the Danish national coach was coach for Richert's club).

People really questioning why they aren’t playing in lightning?

Multiple players have died in stadiums due to lightening strikes

Yes, in every example i could find the stadiums were about 10m in height max, with one block height of seats, maybe two.

Dortmunds stadium is about 10 storeys height and the largest stadium in Germany.

The fans are in far more danger than the players.

Denmark don’t have another gear to go to do they? Feels like the only gear they know how to play in is gear 1. Everything is soooo slloooooow.

First time I've seen a football match stopped because of thunderstorm. They should have chosen an indoor stadium.

I don't think the Germans will cancel this game as it will result in their elimination.

They have to finish this game today or both teams get eliminated out of the tournament. There are no replays in the Euros anymore.
