Round of 16 | Switzerland vs Italy | Germany vs Denmark

What ever happened to that Locatelli fella?

Was he not near enough the best player in the tournament 4 years ago? Plays for Juve as well, looks like he's not even in the squad this year.

He is honestly cack at Juve, but better than Fagioli who starts today

Always a pity when one side is so inferior, they have to kick at everything that moves.

Fecking hell, the winner of this tie has to play the winner of England/Slovakia. Yet another borefest.

Can't believe El Shaarawy is just 31.. It seems like a lifetime has passed since his breakthrough season at AC Milan
Was thinking the exact same thing. Didn't even realize he was still playing for Italy.

I still can't get over how bad this Italy team is. Like, winning Euro 2020 was a shock, and you could argue only 3 or 4 players from this current team would even make that Italian squad.

Every time I see them FK taken it reminds of the Bruno x Martial link up against city.

This pace of this game is set to 'sludge'. Every player seems to have tons of time on the ball and all seem to be taking loads of touches before moving it on.

this will probably be a pretty shit game like any that involves Italy, with Swiss playing well and missing their chances and Italy absorbing everything, but then scoring between 60 - 65. minute and going through.

We're coached worse than England :o:o:o

And our manager is Spalletti

Donnarumma will be keeper of the tournament by a mile even if Italy go out today.

Been virtually unbeatable on one v ones.

What the feck is he doing with that finish? Took an absolute age and completely telegraphed that one.

You're not going to get much better chances than that. Very wasteful!

Still surprises me that once Xhaka actually started to get good, Arsenal let him go

How shockingly low Italian football standard is these days!!

Ndoye would be better on the left wing

Switzerland look a really quality team and have completely dominated. This match therefore has 1-0 Italy written all over it.

Chiesa is good though. Hopefully wherever he goes next he manages to stay fit and they play him wide so he can find some consistency and kick on

Update: we still play like a bunch of dudes who just met in the parking lot

Italy are fecking awful. It's like catenaccio, but with shit defenders.

To be fair that's pretty much the case with Fagioli and that's probably where Scamacca was found so you're not far off.

I seem to recall one of your countrymen calling him the best coach of the tournament?!
Me! And based on club football he would be! By a landslide!

He's just been unable to get to these players
