Round of 16 | England vs Slovakia | Spain vs Georgia

Brilliant Spain. Gotta say, I love the approach from Georgia. They were always likely to come up short in this game, but at least they’ve given it a proper go. Hope the score line doesn’t get worse, but fear it could as they begin to tire. They’ve put in so much running.

Spain do look really impressive. Nearly 4-1 there. Germany will have to play a lot better than they did against Denmark to have any chance.

Counter Counter.

This Spain are night and day in approach to their tiki-taka team, and about a billion times better to watch.

Yeah I completely forgot that they wouldn't just keep the ball after going 2-1 up. Instead they've pressed like maniacs and are lightning in attack

Don't think there's a better pair of wingers in the world than Yamal and Nico right now.
I'd probably have Vini and Rodrygo over them for now, but Yamal should be able to outshine both of them if he doesn't get overplayed.

Rooting for Spain to win it all, just excellent football team.

When Spain were dominating football a decade ago I wanted anyone but them to win. They were so boring.

This side is anything but. You'd love to see a team win playing positive attacking football like this. They're so easy on the eye.

Gotta give props to de la Fuente. Took what had been a successful formula for Spanish football the last two decades, and made space for talented fast wingers that might have been blocked by a more conservative manager. Wonderful stuff.

Yamal is brilliant too. Barca having an incredible academy is the only reason they haven't fallen into the abyss to be honest.

Georgia aren't as good as even a 2nd tier team from the top football countries.

They've done well to even get this far, sometimes teams put cup runs together.

They're like the opposite of England.
