Imho one of the problems here is during his low moments he consulted with Jordan Peterson for life advice. That guy always looks so stressed and serious about life, wouldnt surprise me if flowers die when he walks past them. What Ronaldo needs is acceptance of his current age and be content with it. Nobody can beat time.

Would be really surprised if JP had much influence at all. But perhaps i'm wrong.

Dude threw a fit when his teammate stole an open goal from him.
Why would walking out the stadium early is "out of character" for him? Its perfectly in character.

So you are saying that he left the game early to clean his room?

And stand in front a mirror and repeat 3 times "I am the top lobster, I am nr. 1 in the hiearchy. The other lobster is a midget lobster".

Its tiring really. This is just wilful ignorance from him and Evra the other day. Just shut the feck up and don't invite more negative publicity.

Just ignore them. They are his mates. I doubt wr will get unbiased opinions on him for any of his ex utd team mates.

Rio cannot grasp that like him Ronaldo has got older. Prime world class players get treated differently. Past their best players, who cannot accept that fact don't.
The main thing is that they don't actually grasp how badly he's declined. They know he isn't the same but their intellect cannot accept he's become a woeful player.

Wouldn't pay any mind to a Chelsea fan

He found his best position tonight.
Sad ending, should have never come back.
Hope he leaves as soon as he can. His ego cannot take the humiliation of not being the big fish. His time is up he should just get it.

50+ pages on this and not one word of criticism for Sir Alex Ferguson who was not only key to Ronaldo coming back, he then made him essentially a guaranteed starter under Ole Gunner Solksjaer with his comment 'you start with your best players', after the Everton game. No criticism either of Glazer, who alledgedly wanted CR37 to stay at United as some sort of soccerised Tom Brady and prove that they own one of the top teams in the world because it has one of the top-2 biggest world stars, on their roster.

Luckily, if SAF (and his little 'think-tank') tried to assert some influence now, ETH would just ignore it anyway and I bet he parks his car in the space marked 'Manager' too. He also seems to be able to stand up to the owners also, hope it continues.

Christiano would do well to just retire particularly as its kind of nice that for a player famous for the No. 7 he has now got 700 club goals. Although he never should have been given that shirt number at United, I'm sure its one of the reasons Cavani went AWOL, a very decent striker and two years younger than this Portuguese prima-donna.

That's what I'm taking from this, mainly.

ETH was put in a very difficult position with regard to Ronaldo (that's my take on it, from the outside).

And he's dealt with it as well as he could (that's my take on it, from the outside).

(It's what I said months ago, though, basically - he needs to get the team playing well: if he does that, Ronaldo has no leverage.
Agree, Ronny last season had to play , this season no. ETH imo has done the right thing Ronny has let himself down no one else.

Manchester United have received no interest in Cristiano Ronaldo despite making him available on a free transfer since the summer, sources have told ESPN.

Ronaldo will miss Saturday's Premier League game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge after being dropped by manager Erik ten Hag as punishment for refusing to play as a substitute in Wednesday's 2-0 win against Tottenham at Old Trafford.

The former Real Madrid and Juventus forward also angered Ten Hag by leaving the substitutes' bench before the end of the game to walk to the dressing room and leave the stadium without the manager's permission.

Having been criticised by Ten Hag in July for going home during the preseason friendly against Rayo Vallecano at Old Trafford, Ronaldo's latest display of indiscipline has increased the prospect of the Portugal international leaving United in January.

But sources have told ESPN that the United hierarchy, led by American owners the Glazer family, have been willing to offload Ronaldo since he made it clear in the summer that he wanted to leave the club.

Sources have said that United, who signed Ronaldo in a €15 million deal from Juventus in August 2021, have not sought a fee for the player in the hope that another club would be prepared to take on his £500,000-a-week contract.

But aside from interest from Saudi Arabian team Al Hilal, United have had no enquiries about Ronaldo, with even ambitious and well-funded teams in Turkey proving to be unmoved by the prospect of signing a player who took his club goal tally to 700 with his strike against Everton earlier this month.

Sources have said that there is a hope within Old Trafford that clubs could emerge as potential options for Ronaldo if he enjoys a productive World Cup with Portugal in Qatar next month. And with six months remaining on his United contract, there is also the possibility of Ronaldo being loaned out in January should another club be willing to agree a deal to pay a proportion of his wages.

But with his 38th birthday approaching in February and just two goals in all competitions for United this season, Ronaldo is struggling to attract interest from clubs who could offer him an escape route from Old Trafford in January.

I've had this discussion before and obviously disagree.

It's just not possible for one player to stop all the other players performing.

Don't really want to go into the finer points again as I've already debated it but Rashford and Bruno started to struggle the season before Ronaldo came. Ronaldo didn't make Shaw put weight on. He can't possibly, from the centre forward position, make a CB(Maguire) perform individual mistakes.

Never before have I seen a player blamed for so much. Especially when that player actually maintained a good standard of performance himself. It's ridiculous 2+2=5 type stuff.

Correct decision to suspend him now but this desire to paint the whole move a disaster is strange.

It's not surprising because with some online fans you get the extremes. Those who adore him and those who can't stand him. Ronaldo's latest antics fuel on the fire for the latter group.

Outside of this forum I've not heard anyone put last season failings are down to Ronaldo. It's an online thing.

I am not blaming him for everything that went wrong last season, but you can't deny the team lacks dynamism when Ronaldo plays and the slower tempo of play seems to negatively impact a lot of our key players.

The BT Sport/Rio love fest popped up as a suggested video on my YouTube & good lord they’re idiots. Seeing how sycophantic the likes of Rio are to Cristiano is truly disgusting, absolute arrogance throughout every word. If EtH wants to bring a player on in the 89th minute it’s his prerogative to do so.

Like clockwork. Any other player and they'd be crucifying them

Complete joke seeing Keane and Rio stand up for him. Let's see what Scholes says.

Jaap Stam saying it like it is. Calling Ronaldo disrespectful

Sad to see that Keane and Rio have such an inferiority complex when it comes to Ronaldo. Need to stop licking his asshole
