Yeah, that's probably the same "good/shit" ratio as our signings from other leagues.
Fair enough.
Yeah, that's probably the same "good/shit" ratio as our signings from other leagues.
People have been saying that for a couple of decades now.
I get why people want us to fail of course but it ain't happening.
Might be worth getting hold of Simon Jordan's explaination from this morning on Talksport he goes right through it.I have to say, you are a good poster on here, so I’m not looking to trash talk you; but…..if you weren’t a Chelsea supporter, if you were a fan of another club in the PL, can you objectively say you wouldn’t look at what Chelsea have done over the last 12 months - not to mention the RA era that proceeded it - and be sickened by it? Not only that, but can you see that from the outside, again imagining you are the supporter of another club, that what Chelsea are currently doing seems incredibly shady and there must be some serious financial skullduggery going on? Again, answer as a supporter of another team, not one with an irrational hatred, just a neutral supporter.
Final question…..if you were a supporter of a different team, having seen the incomprehensibly massive amounts of money Chelsea have paid in the last 12 months, in addition to the ethical stain of the RA ownership, would you not want to see Chelsea completely an utterly fail? Not as a rival, but just because of what they’ve done?

How much have Chelsea spent last two season's?
So we have three bona fide Arab clubs in the PL (City, Newcastle and Chelsea) all spending freely, more freely than Trump tweeting during a court case with impunity.
Utd to join them by next season and Liverpool soon after. What's dawned on me is none of the Arab countries care who actually wins stuff as long as their 'brand' is being sufficiently sold.
I don't know if you are joking or not..really?their team is still largely full of nothing players, apart from Reece james I wouldn’t take any of those players Over any of ours.
I'm sure city and arsenal fans would say the same.
this is a bit of a loaded question(above) ...When you get taken over soon will you want to buy lots of good players as well?I have to say, you are a good poster on here, so I’m not looking to trash talk you; but…..if you weren’t a Chelsea supporter, if you were a fan of another club in the PL, can you objectively say you wouldn’t look at what Chelsea have done over the last 12 months - not to mention the RA era that proceeded it - and be sickened by it? And the 65 m he just got us …..I also do t think Werner was nearly as bad as people seem to think. We also had Ballack, and Rudiger. Also Havertz gets a pass from the shit list because of that goal.
I totally get why people want us to fail and why they hate us, of course. I'm sure I'd want Chelsea to fail if I wasn't a fan.

It is a little confusing. Do you mean Chelsea are properly run and managed? The one thing I do give credit to Lavia for is he's not money oriented. He wants to be at a properly run and managed football club.
Edit: even though I don't want him for £60m. Like I said I hope we're still playing games.
ACTUALLY spent? Hard to know for sure. It certainly is nowhere near the simple adding up of reported fees, for sure. How much have Chelsea spent last two season's?

Chelsea fans are used to it though. Remember when Abramovich took over and they signed something like 24 players over two years and probably sold or released just as many.I can’t imagine watching United one season then 12 months later it’s almost an entirely new squad, manager and owner there must be next to no connection between fans and players it’s crazy. I watched the game yesterday and the club was unrecognisable.
their team is still largely full of nothing players, apart from Reece james I wouldn’t take any of those players Over any of ours.

In which case watch the Saudi League drive the market price through the roof! The loophole is still there for teams not in Europe, it’s only a UEFA rule.
From what I’ve read today

The starting lineup yesterday had academy lads Colwill, Gallagher and James in it as well as Silva and Chilwell both in their 4th season. Sterling going into his 2nd season. That’s half the team. It may seem like that as an outsider looking in, but you make sound like it’s 11 brand new players all signed the day before the game.
Sterling signed in the last 12 months and Colwill has barely played for the club, the whole bench of 9 players looked either new or kids that aren’t regulars. id say out of the 20 players named there must be 4-5 that id usually associate with Chelsea
Not to mention one of the players we are connected with signing next, Olise, is ALSO a Chelsea academy lad.Colwill is an academy product and you’re talking about no connection with the players? Maatsen another one from Cobham, off bench. That’s 4 academy players that appeared in the game. Of course it’s a crazy overhaul but I guess I’m just saying the connection obviously isn’t lost.

Alright fair enough
My point is completely invalid and this side is Chelsea through and through
On topic: I’ve been saying all summer long we should have signed Lavia and after yesterday I’m more convinced than ever
I don't know why you’re getting defensive about this. I only answered your post with my perspective, which happens to not align with your view.
I do agree though, you could do with someone of Lavia’s profile, and frankly for us it feels like overkill when we have already invested in Santos and Ugochukwu who are not far off Lavia’s level. What’s up with the Amrabat deal?
is there anyone chelsea arent buying? How can they possibly keep this up and what happens for the spending the next couple of seasons? This is freaking insane
Seems a bit strange to make a decision like that just because the other was considering other options while negotiating. Isn’t that something practically every single club does during negotiations?
Yep strikers, it wil be a 3-7-0 formation or 4-6-0 formation. Cant have enough midfielders.is there anyone chelsea arent buying? How can they possibly keep this up and what happens for the spending the next couple of seasons? This is freaking insane
