It is fairly clear if they do sign Lavia and Caicedo that they have decided to ignore FFP and plan to attack any sanctions with an army of lawyers. I guess they are looking at 115 Charges FC and realizing that FFP and the new profit and sustainability rules are an empty threat.

I will not claim to understand the intricacies of FFP but so far and on paper, Chelsea sold for more than they spent this summer. If they throw 160m£ at Caicedo and Lavia obviously this will change, but taken in isolation the net spend wouldn't be too insane yet (-130m£ or so ?).
What about the £600m they spent last summer?

Mate I have no idea what’s going on. I stopped following it earlier in the day to get some work done. Was way too distracting. Feels like I’ve sat through 2 back to back deadline days
Looks like exactly what I said may happen and Chelsea gets both lavia and Caceido. That is exactly what Pochettino needs to rebuild his midfield.

Nah, a lot of the players they are signing have raw potential. The only world class/top signing they have made will be Caceido and Nkunku. The rest of their signing are players that needs proper coaching to turn into elite players. Even Nkunku and Caceido are not the finished product, so there is no cheque book manager here.
Fred was only announced after my post. Still not completely done yet - anything could happen, ask Tyler Adams who had a medical yet deal still fell through.
Feck me I have almost no idea who most of those players are. Lavia/ugo/Santos and Nkunku/chuku sounds like names a random name generator have sprung out.
