Romelu Lukaku

Will he be 70m though when he won't sign?

Stones also wouldn't and they got what they wanted. I think he is going to go for a top fee this summer, cant see Everton budging.

They can keep him and sell him next summer, if he wants to leave this summer someone will have to pay

He openly said he won't sign so they know they'll lose big on him. Think it's different to Stones.

The most I see them getting is about 47m tbh.

Everton should get Iheanancho as his replacement. On another note, Lukaku despite being really bad on his off day would be great at United. As a goalscorer, he is very consistent and he has more good days than bad ones. So, I would love to see him here. However, only if Griezman is unattainable.

Iheanacho is a good shout indeed.

We should get both. The later isn't even a no 9 anyway

I think it's a shame that Everton are going to lose him. They've really impressed me in the league and they're now up to 5th (played a few games more) and that's with starting an 18 year old at centre-mid every week. Can't see whoever they get in to replace him scoring as many, and other key players like Barkley could leave too.

I havent read anyone else saying it bar tufty, it does look like though that rooney will be at everton.

Must be crushing for Everton fans knowing Lukaku is going, and Rooney is willing to stroll back in.

Koeman does seem to rate Rooney. We can only hope the name and reputation kid Everton into thinking they have a deal.

they would have to be mad to accept it.

Dunno, is Lukaku worth much more than that if he didn't want to leave? He does, so it surely lowers the price, Rooney would just basically be free, with us paying him off to smooth the way as part of the deal, though as is often said deals like this rarely happen.

Its 50 million plus a very marketable rooney , so that makes it about 50 million. Contract ends in june 2019, this year is the year they get the best fee for him as next year they have a year left and that would mean knocking half his value off.

If it was true, which I doubt, it would almost certainly mean Zlatan is off.

Not necessarily, Lukaku is pushing for a move this summer so we need to make moves now. He's the only really exceptional striker with premiership experience that we could realistically get this summer or next.

Also he is great friends with pogba, so if mou wants him, Pogba can lay down the groundwork for us. Also he is a typical jose forward, at the right age, developing into a First class prem player.

All that not good enough for top level talk is bullshit. Absolute bullshit.

Defenders can't deal with his physicality. They just can't.

Everton wouldn't be able to afford Rooneys insane wage demands.

He'll lower them as no one is going to pay his insane wages in the PL and he knows that. Plus there is talk of us paying him off anyway

Okay... But how are you going to play Lukaku and Zlatan in one team? You just can't.

If we get UCL 36 yr old Zlatan may be ok with not starting/playing every game.

Also given Mourinho has said all season we don't have a Zlatan alternative (Rooney has been dogshite), he would have exactly the same issue if we replaced Zlatan with Lukaku. So in his mind I don't see him doing that if he could do something different.

I reckon Lukaku would be a Rooney replacement and not a Zlatan one if we got him. Also if Zlatan leaves he would also be replaced.

He really wouldn't. Every single game he has played, he has finished. He's never been subbed off. Lukaku isn't going to be happy splitting his minutes, and neither would Ibrahimovic. Not to mention how illogical it would be to spend £50m on a second choice striker.

Like I said the manager feels we don't have a viable alternative (he has said so a few times"). Rashford is a totally different type of striker. We don't have another back to goal striker to play off. (Not that I think Lukaku is that great with his back to goal btw)

50 million plus Wayne Rooney, I doubt Wayne is actually worth a transfer fee he's declined that much.

Would rather 50m on a striker that's proven in the prem than a small Frenchman that's gonna cost 30m more and yet another potential player that will struggle with this league.

Morata, Belotti and possibly Aubameyang might all be on the market this summer. Anyone of those would do nicely but Lukaku would be great too. He gets a hard time on here as he has his weaknesses but he would be very effective up front for any top 4 team and he is still young and should only get better.

There's just no way Everton would sell him for anything less than £70 or £80 million. I'd say he'll go for £80 million considering his age and his goal record this season. PSG would pay that for him without blinking.

It's not his finishing ability that's being questioned, it's his contribution to the rest of the attack. His hold up play really isn't great, and having more than just the ability to finish is needed at the very top level, which we are aspiring to. Hopefully he can improve that, but there's credibility to the doubts.
