Watching this I cannot see how people believe he has the touch of a mule. Obviously he isn't Iniesta but he holds the ball up well, keeps possession etc.

I know it's a highlights package but pretty comprehensive clips of him playing with his back to goal.

I don't think his touch is bad so much as erratic. He strikes me as someone who worked hard to improve that aspect of his game rather than it being something that comes naturally to him, which means that when he's off his game it's one of the first attributes to suffer. When he's on his game though it's perfectly fine.

We are the only ones that would consider paying anything near 100M for Lukaku , and it would be madness. The way to make Pogba look good value is not by overspending on other players.

Let's wait for summer to see if this is true or not...

Like him but technically I'd want more for my money. I've watched him sometimes and he can barely trap a football. I think he'll be found out if he goes somewhere where the expectation is greater than Everton's.

I like him but 100m is clearly ludicrous. In this day and age he's easily worth more than 50m though.

If he suits your team's style then 60-70m for a 24 year old PL top scorer is a no-brainer for a PL side. He wouldn't suit a lot of teams though and as is I have no idea if the team Mourinho wants to build is one of those.

He is barely worth 50 million let alone 100 million, hope United stay well clear.

Rather have Dzeko. Lukaku is not really technically gifted. Would be useful if we wanted to lay low, counterattack or panickclearances towards a lonely striker that is to keep possession(Moyes playing style). I would take him for 40£ alone or 50£ if Rooney was included in the deal. Really don't want him though.

Reckon he stays as no one will pay the fee. He wants Chelsea but if they dont want him, think Jose might fancy a crack at signing him (provided fee drops a lot)

Please, please, please… not Lukaku! He's a really good player and his statistical output backs that up, but he's not top quality.

Apparently, if one were to remove all of the goals Lukaku scored for Everton in the 16/17 league campaign, Everton's final position would still have been 7th! Quite remarkable and peculiar statistic really, his goals didn't affect their end results whatsoever.

He only scored when Everton already was either losing or winning by a few goals. This applies to each and every single one of his goals. Quite telling, clearly showing that despite all of his goals, Lukaku's insignificance is quite significant! He's not a game changer, not even close.

Probably going to Chelsea (or am I just hoping)

Yeah for the price quoted it just seems mental, he's obviously good and has a good output in this league but don't think he's the type of striker who could take us from good to great, especially for the CL.

Not worth £100 million. I'd rather thrown in another £20-30 million and try and get Kane and Delli Ali.

Well that's just not true, he scored in a few 1-1 draws and other times when his goals changed the game. Everton also finished 15 points above Southampton so that stat says more about the disparity between the top 7 and the rest of the league. I don't want Lukaku at United but there's no point in being deliberately misleading to support your argument.

Lukaku and Pogba are best friends yeah?, didn't they holiday together last summer? I'd have him for £70 million for sure and i think we can grab him. We'll spend well above £200 million this year and recoup enough to keep it below. There will be be big earners off the books too.

Not too impressed with Lukaku. Fails to deliver too often in bigger games and his build up play leaves too much to be desired.

Di marzio's report is making me feel better. I'd rather he goes to Chelsea.

Some people are underrating him. He'd be a quality signing, not worth 100 million though. 60 would be more realistic.

You're all nuts. He's barely 24, he'll score 30 goals next season.

I thought Lukaku was a dead cert for Chelsea?

Yup, exactly. Whoever gets him will have acquired one of the top young strikers in the world. I'd only take dybala and Mbappe over him (under 25)

Seriously better off throwing the bank at Levy and Kane

Add his goals to us we make top four easy. We need goals in the worst way, so no way in hell we should turn our nose up at a goal who does score.

Get Kane instead if were ready to spunk 100 million quid on a central striker.

Our aim is not top four, it's winning titles. I just think we can do better than Lukaku at a lower transfer fee.
