He’d miss the meetingI wouldn't trust this guy to join neighbourhood watch.
What legacy? He's in big trouble legacy wise
Must… not… laugh…
There's one ac milan fan i remember who is a huge lukaku fan as wellHow can people still be a fan of him at this point, I don't know.
He is like that caf shitposter who always talk big but fell short when posting actual serious post.
Nobody genuinely likes him as a footballer, truly an awful elite striker.
I think 2nd and especially 4th miss are really big ones, no matter Lukaku is not fully fit atm, he has to score those. He's a proven goalscorer and quality striker but doesn't belong to that "elite" category of Lewandowski, Kane etc in my opinion.
Looking back at his Everton days, there were some questions about Romelu's performances against top 6, he was usually poor in those, remember for example Blind and Smalling dealing with him easily. Then he joined United and his record in big games wasn't great in those 2 seasons, he scored against Real Madrid in UEFA Super Cup, 1 goal against Chelsea at Old Trafford, 1 against Sevilla at Old Trafford and obviously that crucial brace in Paris.
I think lukaku is overrated, never wanted him at United and was delighted he left. Never should be in the bracket of Benzema, Kane, Henry, Battistuta, Fat Ronaldo etc. He's a good player but, Italy definitely suits him more. But today I believe he has got a lot of unfair stick. He's been out since August, played 30 odd mins since and it's natural to be out of rhythm. Rooney took 10 games to get fit again, I've seen Del Piero come back and miss some sitter, I've played Sunday league, been injured and its taken me a bit of time to come back. On flip side you get players that roll straight back in the groove, Messi, Haaland etc. Poor guy but at same time I'm happy Belgium are out and the memes are hilarious.
At any point. How can people still be a fan of him at this point, I don't know.
When you've played vs multiple big teams repeatedly over the span of a decade the law of averages will come into play for even Lukaku at some point, especially under Conte at Inter where the entire set up was built around him.You can't even say it's about pressure. Cos he's come up clutch at key moments e.g., during Inter's last title run.
No one on here is wondering that, we all were delighted he joined you. There were several Chelsea fans who were convinced he'd changed and gone up a level under Conte at Inter and argued that on here.At any point.
People wondering whats happened to him since he's re joined us but the reality is he's always been this player. The only difference was pre re joining us he was in systems that played to his strengths more than weaknesses (or in Conte's case all his strengths while hiding 90% of his weaknesses) whereas a possesion based system exposed him for the fundamentally crap footballer he is.
Like you've just said there was Chelsea fans thinking he'd get us up a level and when he was at United especially early on (basically I was ahead of the curve from his first spell with us so when he joined you guys I was in the position the average United fans was when he rejoined us) I was dismissed as being "jealous because we lost out on him", for basically saying what is now the overwhelmingly popular opinion. No one on here is wondering that, we all were delighted he joined you. Agree! He was not close to being fit. Let alone match fit. He reminds me of Rooney in that he needs matches to be fit. They both are very stocky guys that have a hard time with their weight. He looked really out of shape. I'm surprised he even played.Fantastic servant for Belgium, and hardly anyone in my country will put this on him. He was not even close to being match fit.
Putting Rooney and Del piero’s name to defend lukaku. You know who del piero was and what del piero was capable of? Him missing sitters on big occasions was a rare event and Lukaku missing sitters is the norm.I think lukaku is overrated, never wanted him at United and was delighted he left. But he is right though. Ribéry always took 5 games to reach top form after injury, Robben took 5 minutes.Putting Rooney and Del piero’s name to defend lukaku. anyone else see him aim a punch at martinez after the game?
Yep, feck him.Feel bad for him? Not likely, an egotistical wanker who chats shit about Utd every chance he gets. Im loving it.
Just because someone is rich with an ego, it doesn't exclude them from human sympathy/empathy.Poor guy?
He is multi millionaire elite striker who has ego level as high as CR7.
He deserves all the humiliation.

The thumbnail to that video is brilliant. Imagine being a self professed "world class striker" and missing chances that an infant would be ashamed of and then afterwards you have (a no doubt perplexed) Thierry Henry consoling you. It must make him feel even worse knowing that the guy putting an arm around his shoulder used to score wondergoals in his sleep.
