If we were behind and he did that I would've thrown my remote to the TV

I don't know from my personal experience, it's always been the opposite. Is it not true? Losing fat you just need your calorie eat to be lower than what spend and you'll lose it decently quick.. whereas muscle takes time to break down.
Say what now ?
Come on guys, Lukaku is carrying extra weight and it's not easy to run with extra weight on board.
For those who can't understand why he is so lethargic, take a ruck suck, put a 10KG weight in it, put the ruck sack on your back and go for a run. In 5 minutes, you'll be gassed.
Need to cut him some slack.
He didn’t react to the pass, which seemed to be because he didn’t know what young was going to do with it. He wanted the ball earlier and Young held it prior to that, which could have lead to the confusion. That when there's a ball few meters from him he would run and try to hold it, instead of standing and watching the opponent take it.
He didn’t.I at least expect him not to look like the most tired player on the pitch.
I wonder if the same criticisms will be aimed at Martial. Lukaku contributed more. None of our attackers were on it.

All one needs to do is basically stop training
Touché. Slipped a disc (C5) last August which totally fecked up my left shoulder, bicep and pec. Couldn’t train until the end of October and I’m still months off properly rebuilding my left side. I lost muscle extremely fast after the injury. Bizarre comment.
Agreed, he should have made a run to the right side on that attack. To run in space ?

He did except for the one moment where he was unsure what to do when Young had the ball. But that'll be used to tear him down regardless of whatever else he did.Thought he did fine.

Not when passing IIRC. Mostly with his touch. He had that one moment when he just stood there which was unforgivable.
He was fine besides that though, he played the ball less sloppily than a lot of our players, which is weird because he's usually very loose in possession.
I don't know, I've always thought his passing can lack the right pace and be wayward. Like you say his touch isn't good, he mostly doesn't get the opportunity to pass the ball. Not when passing IIRC. Mostly with his touch.
Honestly thought buying a twenty a season striker would be good for us because he could help us batter the lower placed teams (something we've struggled with) and would be a good edition upfront, would hopefully build a relationship with Pogba due to their friendship and turn those 1 points into 3. His deficiencies of technique and build up play wouldn't be an issue because I hoped his touch would be a shot on goal (box player etc).
How on earth he scored so many goals for WBA and Everton I have no idea. He isn't an athlete, has zero stamina and I would back myself in a fifty fifty against him solely because of how weak he seems. I still stand by developing early and outsizing players at lower aged groups meant he could easily hide his complete lack of technique and he could steamroller smaller players and score bucket loads.
I've never seen someone so big be utterly bullied, dominated by so many mediocre and smaller centre backs and they are not even resorting to the darker arts, solely just by doing the basics of defending.
Bear with me here but look at someone like Paul Dickov, small, not very talented, utterly bullied defenders, wasn't especially quick either. Look at Dean Ashton, an utter handful, again not fast and smaller than Lukaku. Drogba, would dominate two centre backs on his own. Mitrovic, awkward and difficult. Costa nightmare to play against.
Lukaku has based his game on getting in behind but really lacks the mobility to keep making runs and pulling defenders around, coincided with a less than clinical finishing pedigree and what you have is someone who could be plying his trade a league below.
Should of realised when 5'10'', 75kg Daley Blind kept him quiet on the regular.

It does my head in when commentators still spout this lunacy about how Lukaku would help our team keep the ball.Yup. After the first 4 weeks out of his gym my left side had gone to shit. I couldn’t believe how fast it happens.
On an unrelated subject, I really miss Blind. He plays 15 minutes during which United are essentially parking the bus, what did anyone really expect...
Getting to the point where he's an ineffective substitute too. How can a solid 20+ goal a season striker look this bad?
