Everton aren't buying back Lukaku with Marco Silva there - you can see he likes good technical players.
That's called business, which you seem to struggle to get the point of it. From playing point of view, yeah Falcao, Bastian, Bebe and Sanchez did worse than him, but from business point of view, Lukaku tops them, because these didn't cost much to come here, and when (if in case of Sanchez) got/get offloaded, the club wouldn't lose much in them, so they were just bad in terms of their form on the pitch. Didn't cost the club much.
Lukaku was a terrible business. You paid 75+15m for him, proved to be a terrible player, no big club is going to buy him from you as he's shite so you're going to lose loads when he fecks off. He's not a top player everyone want like Di Maria. Best he'll leave for will be Everton or Serie A top 4 team, and in both ways we're going to lose a lot in this deal. Calculating what we spend, how he performed and how much we're going to lose in him, Lukaku becomes easily one of our transfer business we ever made in our history. We invested so much in a shite player that we'll struggle to cope half of what we invested in him when he fecks off. You can't question the investment in Pogba as we'll easily cope the fee paid for him thanks to his statue if he flopped, you can't question getting Falcao on loan or Sanchez on trade and trying your luck without spending much for them, but sure as hell you can question investing 75m in such a limited striker with no resale value to any top club.
He technically has no ability. His technical ability is pretty bad and we have afew players like him who are shit on the ball. So our current plight shouldn't come as too much of a surprise because even our manager was happy with how Lukaku played at the end of the game.
So much hyperbole. A 'shite' player who ended his first season as top scorer and outscored his predecessor (Zlatan). This season is write off already. its gone to shit in every way possible.

The consequences of Sanchez can't be measured by only looking at Sanchez and his costs (sign on fee + wages), the bigger picture is what it does to our wage structure. Hint: David De Gea.
Sanchez has set the bar for other top players and what they can demand, and that's going to cost us a boatload of money
Only Pogba comes close.Sanchez? Di Maria? Falcao? Bebe? Fellaini? Lukaku was our top scorer last season don't forget
Sanchez wasn't a great business in general but I think Lukaku is even worse all things considered. TBF I think sooner or later David would have asked for higher wages considering him staying in such a toxic environment while winning nothing significant.
He was good last year. What the hell happened to the guy?
He was ok and we could do with an ok Lukaku this season. But this season he's like he just started to play the game.He was ok last year. people overstated his quality. It was fine as a first season but even last year wasn't good enough as Manchester United's starting striker.
I agreeUseless cnut, I'd rather play Greenwood for thr rest of the season and I'm deadly serious.
It's weird because I don't buy this whole he's actually just a terrible player thing.
OK, he has clear deficiencies to his game, namely his touch which has always been woeful. He still managed to bang in the goals for Everton though and regularly look like a dangerous footballer, 25 in the league is nothing to be sniffed at in 16/17. He was neck and neck with Harry Kane up until the final game of the season. If a team plays to his strengths and he's got a bit of confidence we've seen that he can score goals, hell even last season for you he wasn't close to being this inept, but now whenever I watch him I feel like his touch has become even heavier, he seems clumsier than ever and just never gets in behind. Is his head just gone at United perhaps?
Even going back to the World Cup he looked a totally different player, had a couple of poor games but also looked a genuine handful on a number of occasions and led the line well. Is that down to the creativity he had around him, or the fact that he just feels more comfortable in a Belgium shirt right now? Sometimes players are good but just not the right fit for a club/system. It doesn't mean they've suddenly become a pub level player, it's just when you're totally lacking in confidence and feeling isolated and out of place, the rest of your game can go to shit.
Me neither...but he's a little like Fellaini in that his skillset is limited so he needs to deliver what he has got most of the time. If there was more to his game, he'd still be contributing even if he's not scoring....
True, but I've seen Lukaku performances in the past where he contributes without scoring, best example of that being his game against Brazil. He was a handful all game, but this season pretty much every time I watch him play regardless of if he scores it's an easy game for the two central defenders. In the past he's been a dangerous player to come up against, I used to see him on the teamsheet for Everton and it was actually intimidating because despite his limitations you knew he could bully defenders on his day. I remember in his last game vs us for Everton there was a big Kane vs Lukaku buildup, and he scored a great goal.
It just seems that these days even the areas where he's always been very strong have just gone to shit, and some people are pretending he was always like this. I don't remember it that way at all, there's definitely something up with him this season where he looks just completely devoid of confidence and is playing within himself.

Salah is mobile, better balanced, turns faster. Strength isn't that important in football, if you move like an oil tanker it's easy to take the ball off you.
@GifLord Can you please post the slow motion replay of the offside goal? Lukaku's kick was 4 seconds slower than the ball
We should be opening up talks with Inter on Swap with Ircadi + money. That's the only way we're getting rid of him.
Excellent post. But in all honestly, would not even bother trying reason in here. These users are too far gone into the realm of emotional rattle throwing, it has just become a meme to pat each other on the back rewardingusers giving him the most shit. It's sad. He's in terrible form and I want him to turn it around. He was never going to have a good day against Liverpool and that was obvious, even with the terrible form he's in.It's weird because I don't buy this whole he's actually just a terrible player thing.
