Look, in big teams you'll always play against parked buses without much space. As a striker of a big club you'll always be asked to play well with your back to the goal and have a good touch and close control in tight situations and under tight pressure. See his goals at Everton, these amount of space he was running in, he'll never find it while playing for a big club because everyone park the bus against them, unlike what they do against Everton, and he was usually getting dominated by any decent defender while playing there as well.

If you don't have a good technique, can't play with your back to the goal and struggle to make a good first touch or close controlling a back under high pressure, your chance of succeeding as a main striker in a big club is close to zero.
