Say all you want about his support play, we pay him to stick the ball in the back of the net and he's bloody good at it.
God, we could have done with a player who did nothing and then pop up with a goal last year.
When he's fed, he scores. What more can you ask?
One chance and he scores. That's what he's all about. If we had players like Eriksen and De Bruyne behind he'd get 30+ a season without doubt.

Just like with Zlatan last season I will defend Lukaku. His job is to score goals and as long as he does that, I don't care what else happens. He's a striker and the midfielders should be there to help him.

He was up against 3 bit physical Cbs who worked him very well most of the game, but we gave him little in the first half.

His goal was our most important today. Going into the last few minutes at 1-0 would have been horrible.

He had a tough game today, barely got any useful passes and up against some physical defending. The goal is exactly what you want from him, he looks lethal at the moment. Even outside of the goal, I though he offered a useful outlet for most of the game.
Agreed. Killed their momentum. So good we have a striker we can count on to put games to bed. First clear sight of goal and he scores. Clinical.

Teams are weary of him and Rashford (& Martial) already, Swansea setup to nullify us and then when the space opened up and they went for we killed them. It's huge to have a player teams are scared of, with respect to Ibrahimovic I think teams twigged that he wasn't a threat in behind so they didn't make special plans for him. Lukaku is perfect for this league.
Didn´t think i´d come to like him as a player that much. But it looks like he´ll be a brilliant player for us. His first touch isn´t on point sometimes but with his physicality he´s such a great outlet to keep hold of the ball. Didn´t get any delivery for a long time today but still pops up with a goal. What a player.
