Roland Garros 2009

Nah, Murray's definitely lost this set. His backhands completed gone - every time he goes for it he puts it out. I wouldn't be surprised to see him broken here and lose the third 6-0.

It's Murray time, everyone is being too cautious thinking Gonzalez is going to be a real threat, even beat Murray

Murray in 3, i've never been more certain of anything in my whole life :nervous:

How dare anyone think Gonzalez may beat the great multiple grandslam Andy Murray. Oh wait.. :)

Even if Murray wins this, Gonzalez has certainly been a 'real threat'.

Murray went missing for that 3rd set.Gonzalez is Hulk.

That's a shame. I'd like to have seen he and Federer make it to a final. I think that would have been the best prospect of a great match.

Still, he's improving all the time on this surface. I'm sure he'll be better again this time next year.

He certainly looks like a fool now

I said it in jest but i did genuinely think Murray would win. Up until today i had my doubts but when i realized Gonzalez had never done great at Roland Garros i thought Murray might have the mental strengh to over come him however Gonzalez played great for the majority and Murrays serving wasn't up to the standards we've come to expect.

Great game by Gonzalez and hats of to him. Perhaps the fact he's played around 200 more games on clay than Murray was a factor however Murray has made terrific progress on this surface this season and can take confidence for the future.

Not a top seed in sight, Federer must win it now.

In a nuthshell it was a rubbish thing to say. :)

Talking crap is what makes the Caf what it is today.

Murray's 3 main strengths are his return, his footwork/movement and his ability to defend & counter attack. All those trades are pretty much nullified on clay. So he has to learn how to adapt his game on clay. He will always struggle on clay against the best claycourt players.
On grass he should be much more dangerous, specially because he can hit those passing shots and winners from impossible angles on faster/lower bounce surfaces. He will easily beat a player like Gonzales on grass. Can't wait for Wimbledon!

Can't wait for Wimbledon!

Amen brother. I'm disappointed Murray went out at this stage when the tournament seems open, but its still an improvement. Looking forward to seeing how he deals with the pressure at Wimbledon and how far he can go.

Federer better not feck this up now...it's his to lose.

Davydenko is also out

There are still contenders in this, don`t think it will be easy for Federer.

Del Potro and Soderling will both give him a good fight.

I'm back from Roland Garros, great day, I watched Safina and Murray.

Gonzalez is a beast, he can beat anyone if he keeps on like that.

But indeed Federer is the favourite.

I too ksome pics with my phone but they are not worth putting here (Murray serving, Safina angry)

I'd be extreamly jealous if Murray didn't get beat.

How was the crowd in the flesh?

I think he's on second, after a ladies match, from memory.

So I guess if you allow two hours all in, he should be on around 1500 GMT.

Crap. But it`s on the same court right, so I`ll be able to watch the entire game without any "overlap"?

Depends what match your station is showing, I guess. If they're showing the game before Federer, then I presume so. If not, then you have to hope the game they are showing doesn't overlap, unless they are going to show Federer's match as soon as it starts.
