Robert Lewandowski | Bayern Munich

He's not a great finisher but when he does score they're usually good if that makes sense.

A bit like Saha. Always scored spectacular goals without ever being trusted to finish a chance.

Would say it is between Lewa, Suarez and Aguero a.t.m.

Regarding Bayern`s injury Problems: I feel sad for Alaba. Getting seriously injured in a friendly is always bad. I did not see the sense in that game at all as we played an EC qualifier against Liechtenstein some days before.
Schweinsteiger, Ribery, Robben are all over 30 and I am afraid it will go downhill from here. This is the reason we cannot rely on Carrick. The Body Needs more time to fully recover compared to younger Players.

Lewa's first goal today

He has been outstanding in recent weeks. Not only did he score some crucial goals, his overall play is excellent. His hold-up play and movement is fantastic and since Ribery and Robben are both injured, he showed great understanding with Müller. Both link up incredibly well together as a strike partnership and carry our attack in this crazy injury crisis.

wWowzer. Nice strike that!

Best striker in the world. Since 2013. End of story.
Good shout, but I think there's a genuine case for Ibra, Suarez and Aguero being better.

Maybe Costa too. (but yeah, I don't think Costa was as proven in 2012/2013.

Didn't Lewa suffer a fairly disrupted season last season with injuries? Maybe I'm just wrong on that score.

Benzema's been really good for a few seasons now as well - though he generally has to sacrifice his goal record a bit more for Ronaldo.

But yeah, Lewa's a top top, all round striker.

There could have been some issues.
Lewandowski became the Bundesliga topscorer last season so.
He does it every season since 2011/12.

Shame man. Tough blow with your current injured lot. Any team would miss Robben, not to mention Ribery/Bastian etc.

It should be a cracker in the Allianz though. 2-0 is very achievable

Yes. We go through in 4 of 10 games, perhaps even better.
I will hope for the best but if Porto deserves it I would take it.....after a few months. ;)
So, till tuesday then.

Been fecking shite the whole game though, should've had a hattrick in first half alone but yea, credit where it's due, strong finish from him.

Playing two strikers system could be a final solution for Poland's problems but Milik for me is the main striker.

Effectivity wise, surely yes but I guess that due to Lewy's status and media hype he'll always be the #1 striker, even if it's in the name only.

Can't argue with that. His club and previous achievements making his name for him and perhaps that's why he's not always giving 100% for the country.

Great goalscorer. Huge admirer of him. Thinks he's well suited to the PL. Big, tall, fast, mobile and powerful. Why are we not bidding for him. United badly need a striker of his calibre.

Bayern 1-0 down at half time. Cue Lewandowski with 5 goals in 9 minutes. Wow.

Brilliant centre forward. His second and fifth goals were superb.

Holy cow! Changed the whole complexion of the game in 15 mins, are we witnessing the greatest sub performance in football history?

/h

Meh, EssexRob was more pivotal in the comeback as far as I'm concerned.

Why would you even bench him ?
He got a knock on his ankle in the CL match last week, didn't even make the squad on Saturday and only started training again on Sunday.
