He's trying so hard.. been great past 10 mins.
lets be realistic though, they just spent 100m on Sterling and KDB, if he's going to go somewhere he's going to want to be first choice in addition to the money.I can see him going to City, they need a right wing player.
I have the same feeling too. Guardiola likes players with good technique. So he is going to target players like Mahrez, Gundogan, Laporte, etc. Also he will try to make a big signing like Pogba. However, I think he will go to Madrid.I can see him going to City, they need a right wing player.
Very good team there but it lacks a bit of balance in midfield. They need some energy and legs in there like Fernandinho. Even if Pep isn't a fan of ball-winners/destroyers, they are necessary in the prem. Teams will out-run or outwork them. I can also see them signing a new striker since Aguero is unreliable due to injuries.I have the same feeling too. Guardiola likes players with good technique. I can see a lot of players going out and signing new players over two transfer windows to have something like this:
Hart
Aurier - Otamendi - Laporte - Rodriguez
Gundogan - Xhaka
Mahrez - De Bruyne - Sterling
Aguero
Leicester have already stated they wouldn't stop him if he wanted to leave so I guess it's game on come summer. I hope we attempt to get him. That right wing spot needs cementing down. Then Lingard can step in for when he needs a rest

The more I think about signing Mahrez the more sense it makes. The right is the most obvious position we lack quality in my opinion and there's really not that many attainable right mids about. With Martial on the left offering pace and power, Mahrez on the right can offer finesse and technique. Pop Zlatan in the middle and that's a world class front line.
Dude, you need to feel the Rash. Seriously.
Silva?
Rashford? Or have you been speaking to my doctor...
Only half joking.
Signing world class forwards on their last legs shouldn't be an option at this point anymore. Come to think of it, world class players looking for a retirement home in general shouldn't come. As Falcao and Schweinsteiger has shown us.
Alan Brazil this morning:
"Why can't Mahrez get in the France squad?"
Mark Schwarzer: "He's Algerian"
If Mahrez does leave we must surely be the ones in for him as far as English clubs are concerned, we are desperate for a right sided player who makes goals for fun and has the technique and touch that Zidane would approve of. The fact that Ranieri says he would not stop him leaving for a big club (or be it for a no doubt huge fee) I'd wager we'd be the last team in for him as I doubt he gives Ed a full on wood, more of a semi I'd say compared to his usual non achievable targets.
I'd definitely want a player like him over Anderson etc. I would offer Leicester Valencia and 30m.
He's born and raised in France. No less French than Pogba, Benzema or any Frenchman with foreign ancestry.Alan Brazil this morning:

Not quite in the grand schemes of football (Bale, Ronaldo, Benzema say "hi") but it does seem so compared to what we've had the last few seasons! The more I think about signing Mahrez the more sense it makes. Mahrez would be great.
Griezmann, Gundogan, Zlatan too.
I am hoping for at least 5 top class first team additions.
A bit too much in terms of getting too many new starters or transfer fees? Because Zlatan would be a free transfer (granted he will have high wages and signing fee), Gundogan's fee shouldn't be much because he only has 1 year on his deal, and Mahrez should be 40 million pounds max (or we should walk away). Griezmann will be the only player who will be really expensive (probably his buyout clause which is supposed to be 60 million pounds if it hasn't changed).A bit too much to asked for a single transfer window. But hopefully.
We hypothetically could and should try to sign him but I don't know why he would leave before playing for LC in the Champions League. Even double so if they win the league this season. In fact I'll even go further and say he'd be stupid to leave if they enter the CL as league winners.
