Rio Olympics 2016

Don't know why there's so many people moaning about that race, if you watch it it very quickly becomes easy to understand.

Odd race with it being sprints within a marathon. Damn gruelling.
feck me, his interview. Made Scholes sound eloquent.

Trott is super-human, though this is her favoured event if I'm not mistaken.

That elimination event is pretty cool. Brutal they put the marathon thing as the last one.

Weird the BBC comparing cycling and fecking dressage!

Charlotte Dujardin became the second British woman to win three Olympic gold medals by retaining her individual dressage title in Rio.

The 31-year-old, who won gold aboard Valegro, emulates the achievement of cyclist Laura Trott, 24.

Just watched the elimination race: the ease with which Trotted won that final lap was something else.

Laura Trott and Jason Kenny need to produce as many kids as they're physically capable of doing. We could dominate the velodrome for centuries if they do.

Shame about Biles but getting a medal even after that huge stumble shows how good the rest of her performance was.
I was surprised she made that error, because everything else I'd seen her do was weirdly flawless. Wevers was great though and certainly deserved it

Did anyone just see the boxing match there for the Heavyweight gold? The Russian got his face absolutely punched off him and he somehow ended up winning the fight and gold medal :lol::lol:

Should be an inquest into fixing there....

Yeah, the Russians still managed to find a way to cheat to the gold medal..

Great fight in the boxing, in the hw gold match at the mo..

Shocking decision... The worst part was that all judges agreed.
The guy from Khazakstan owned all 3 rounds, and still lost.
The Norwegian commentator and expert (former pro boxer, Thomas Hansvoll), lost it when they heard the decision.

I've just watched the final quarter of last night's men's hockey QF.

New Zealand were leading 2-0 with 4:30 left to play, then Germany scored. At 2-1 the ref sin-binned a NZ player for timewasting. Germany scored with 48 seconds to go and again with 1 second to go to win the QF 3-2.

Wow.

I didn't know Gabby Logan used to be a gymnast

Interesting anecdote - she once gave a pack of pencils to a fellow competitor from the Eastern Bloc as a gift. Or so she said during an episode of Fighting Talk IIRC.

I think thats the correct desicion to give the people a second chance in the hurdles who raced in the torrential rain. Race should never have been run in those conditions
