I thought it was an offer, not an enquiry before the WC

But who cares...the deal is done because Ridsdale cant be such an ass as to ask a player to think it over and then state.....RIO IS GOING NOWHERE!!!He would have put a stop to it at the weekend....not allow Rio to make a statement about 48 hrs and a decision.

It all about the money.

Was it not Booby Charlton who said that Peter Ridsdale is a very likeable and direct man...yeh! right... :eek: :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I'd always thought that it was either us or he's staying. There were no other clubs mentioned ever except the Arse, but then i thought they had peanuts to spend. ;)

I don't think Rio would want to leave England, given his English career is flourishing now.

Ridsdale probably realised Ferdinand would ask to go and prepared a 'we've rejected the request' statement beforehand. It took him about 5 seconds after the request to issue his own statement <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

Anyone see Rio going back to training with Leeds tomorrow and off on their summer tour on the weekend? I don't.
