Right Winger... Who do we go for?

Absolutely not. You would put your chips in Messi basket too. Common sense Amigo.

As far as Martial is super talented, he need to grow on the pitch but how Jose will make peace between Sanchez, Martial and Lukaku ? Maybe that's where Fred and Pereira come with bit of extra forward passing because so far, that's our only hope... maybe Dalot, too.
I definitely would not bet my life that any player would score 20 goals next season. For some it is extremely likely (Messi), for some likely, for some unlikely, but yeah.

I don't see why Sanchez, Lukaku and Martial wouldn't work especially considering that Sanchez can play in all three positions, while the other two in two positions. And that even with less defensive duties, we have a midfield three which should take care about it.

I also do not see why we should have an attacker to do the donkey work when we'll play with only three attackers. Sign Willian, and we should start praying that Sanchez and Lukaku will score circa 40 goals each, cause not many goals will come from the others.

Lukaku, Sanchez and Martial represent three different styles and skillsets so I don't see why it would not work, too... it's just for some reason nobody wants to play as RW anymore. That creates a problem when Jose puts so much responsibility on Mata and as far as this window goes, we'll be still seeing same solution.

Not trying to dis on Juan but betting even 10 goals on him would probably make our heads roll.

Fekir is a good shout. Dembele on loan too.

Fekir is a #10/SS and Barcelona aren't going to loan out Dembele a year after they paid £100m to buy him!

With the prospective Willian transfer now dead, I'd say we've given up on addressing RW for this season. Alderweireld looks to be the only remaining focus now.

Fekir looked decent on the right in the World Cup when he came on.

But yeah, looking like that's that. Poor from us really and not confident for the season ahead.

Dembele and Fekir ain’t happening.

Jose isn’t stupid. I don’t think he’s going to buy more friends for Pogba and Martial, so more players can go against him.

Dembele also definitely isn’t the type of player that Jose would want.

Probably be laughed at for this but what why not Adama Traore, not sure if Wolves have snapped him up yet but a great ball carrier with lots of promise, a bit rough at the edges but can be explosive and a game changer.

Aye, I'm sure this is how Jose is thinking, very VERY very VERY realistic. I've heard he's bought ball-gags for Martial and Pogba to wear around the club so they can't talk to anyone too and spread misery, what a rat.

They have, it's not official just yet, but it's 100% done. I'm not entirely sure he's what we need though, jury is well and truly out if he is Prem level yet, let alone United Level.

Douglas Costa would have been perfect in my opinion. Left-footed, great pace and technique and always looking to take on his man - just what we need on that right flank. There's about a 0% chance of it happening this year, though.

Since it is highly unlikely that we will sign anyone at this point, I'm hoping that Sanchez will get some games on the right.

Pulisic or Bailey would be good options to improve our RW position.

Who do you consider the best of the 2?

Not getting a RW, might force Jose of finally fulfilling my wish of Alexis at RW and Martial at LW. Slight chance I guess, but feck me, it would make our attack twice as good.

Pulisic is massively overrated on here. Bailey had a very good season last year but he plays mainly on the left.

That will just not happen imo. On one hand, Jose is very reluctant to play Sanchez on the right (for whatever reason) and Martial will have a tough start to get back into the starting XI

You might be right, but if Jose wants to have anything close to a successful season, he needs that front 3 in my opinion.

It pains me that this is by far our biggest need and yet we apparently only wants CBs, lots and lots of CBs...

Sigh. No one, and worse yet we compound the problem by having Young and Valencia as our fullbacks. The flanks are dead and no one seems to care.

That's whats lost me on Mourinho. Ive liked his signings and him in general, but ignoring the flanks for so long is just very poor management.

At least he'll leave behind a good spine for the next manager.

Also plays on the left.
That's what I remember.

Leverkusen play 4231 with: Brandt - Havertz - Bailey behind the striker.

Bailey normally played on the right the games I saw.

Unfortunately, it seems we are not getting a RW anyway.

Still our weakest position in the squad. We have been without a good enough right winger for 6-7 years now and nothing has been done to try and fix it.

Ok. We didn't sign any RW. Don't panic! Just put Alexis there and Martial/Rash at LW ffs.

Mata and Lingard are better behind the striker than on the wings. Now that we didn't sign anyone, maybe a change of system with 2 strikers and one of Lingard/Mata as a CAM could be a good option.

That’s basically what we are playing i think. Mata drifts inside all the time. Alexis should probably stay further up the pitch though, but our formation switches between 4-3-3 and 4-3-1-2. I don’t think Mou would play a diamond in defensive situations though. We won’t risk having our fullbacks dealing with a winger and fullback alone.

5-2-1-2 is another option, but our CM’s have been the best part of our team so far, so it would be stupid only playing 2.

Think about how good our side would be if we had a proper right winger, the wings are so unbalanced it hurts.
