Right Winger... Who do we go for?

We require a genuine winger, not another wide players that cuts inside.

Every one wants the ball to feet; we require someone that will run into the space.

IMO our forward like should be, Lukaku as striker, Martial as inverted winger, new no.10 and a out and out winger on the right.

After missing out on Peresic in the summer we desperately need to get this choice right if we want to bring out the best in Lukaku. I don't think a left footed winger will provide the answer tbh so that could rule out Mahrez and Malcom.
A good crosser is a good crosser, it doesn't matter if he's left or right-footed.

This. Martial, Mata, Lingard, Rashford etc.

On that note, someone should tell Rashford he's a speed merchant and should not be asking for balls to feet.

He's surplus. They have a front line of Neymar, Cavani and Mbappe. Most player's would be if they were competing with that front line.
I think it's also just that they think he has no footballing intelligence. Talented, but without the brain to play for the best.

Rashford has developed into somewhat of a ball hog; we'll see if he can use his pace to run into the space since he'll probably play striker for a few games.

Whats so bad about Moura?
If you wan't someone that tears down the wing running past players consistently, but gets clueless what next to do with the ball after that, then Moura is your man.

Yea it's annoying. He's started hogging the ball like Alexis, even though his nous isn't half as good.

This seems to be the stigma attached to him since his sao paulo days but his end product actually has improved at PSG. Hes always had a good amount of assists every season and last season got 19 goals even though he wasn't favoured over di maria for most of the season. Hes hardly played this season since the arrival of Neymar and Mbappe, most games hes not even making the bench. If we were to get him for less than £30M (and I think i've seen his price tag to be £27M somewhere before) I think thats a very good signing in this current climate of transfer money being spent.

Maybe he's improved like you said. I'm yet to watch him play this season as he's barely played.

Should not even be a discussion at this point. It should be Mahrez. He's a world beater.

Though, I have little confidence in Jose going for him.

I agree Mahrez is our best option but theres only one problem with him. It would probably be better to wait and buy him in the summer rather than now because his price tag is probably somewhere around £70m the way things are going nowadays. If we were to buy him now I doubt we make any other significant signings during this transfer window and im not sure if his purchase alone is enough to answer all of our problems this season. Id rather make 2 or maybe even 3 signings in other positions (CM, fullbacks) which is more likely to happen if we went with a cheaper option. Then again it looks like you have to spend the big bucks to get results these days

Going for Lucas would be a smart move in my opinion. He's not in the spotlight and doesn't look an exciting signing, but he could add explosivity to our right flank that is much needed. He hasn't evolved like many people expected but he's still a good player. I think he's victim of PSG capricious transfer policy more than anything. They could be renamed to Paris Hilton instead, because they're always looking for new flashy toys it seems.

If they were reasonable with the fee I wouldn't think it twice. It would be perfect if we had the chance to get him on loan with an option to buy. It would give us time to evaluate the player closely, see other alternatives in the market and make a decision in the summer.

I know there's better players out there, but we have to be clever in the market and find good options in terms of quality/spending, instead of going always for the expensive option or the flavour of the month. Some discreet transfers here and there, if we are accurate, can allow us to improve certain areas and reinforce other positions too. With this guy I have a good feeling and I believe he can do it well, if he's given the chance. I think it makes perfect sense to be linked with him this month.

Lucas is shit I'm sorry. The true definiton of a headless chicken. The guy is a describe as a "tout droit" in France, basically meaning he only runs in straight lines.

Absolutely spot on. I'm actually amazed he still has any credibility left.

I think that's an exaggeration. But look, if he only runs straight and beats players consistently then we are advancing something. There's nobody here at the moment who can change the rhythm of our play, and create an advantage by beating his man. Martial is the only one and he doesn't play every week.

There's better players out there, and I'd be delighted to see us sign people like Mahrez and some others, but I'm not sure if it's realistic and even less now in January. We have to take the chances the market offers from time to time, and I think this could be a good one. If we find better options I will welcome them, but I think it's better to take this guy to add some different resources (that we're lacking) than doing nothing. But only in the right conditions, of course.

It really isn't. You can ask any PSG fan. Lucad Moura has never actually improved since his first season there. The guy cannot cross for shit either. It would be a waste of money IMHO

The last thing we need is another brainless cnut who fecks up the final ball.

Don't see why we shouldn't try to tempt Mahrez here. Possibly the best option.

Mahrez would be my suggestion too.

United seem incapable of coaching an attacking fluid unit so whoever joins needs to just do there thing!

Mahrez would instantly improve the creativity down the right side without any instruction or management required.

Simple.

Yes.....are you ok?

I was more than ok, before I read your post.

Mertens has played LW earlier in his career and he has played CF. He hasn’t played RW, certainly not in the last 5 years. And he never was as impressive from the wing as he has been through the middle, which is why no big team bothered with him until Sarri turned him into a CF and got the best out of him.

So it’s more than a little crazy to suggest we sign him and play him at RW for the first time at 30/31, in a new league. So I’m gonna return the favour and ask .... are you ok?

Riyad Mahrez has been in amazing form since Puel came in, he could be to this team what Robben was to 04-05 Chelsea.

Who you referring to?
Mainly Mkhi. Rash has also had some problems. All our attacking players have sometimes tended to look like they're strangers to each other with their inaccurate interplay, like we don't really practice attacks in training.

Pulisic. I don't want Malcom because he reminds me of Memphis Depay.

Well, this is why I was asking.

Do you think that's more to the individual, or the fact that we don't do much work on attacking plays in training?

I mean, I didn't watch Mkhitaryan much at Dortmund, but whenever I did, he didn't give the ball away as much as he does here.

he is fast and right footed, he would do the job
