About time we started a thread.

So, how many tests do you think India will lose by this time round?

The last series was so timid it might as well have been called the 'the Gandhi peace propagation' series.

Exactly, that was more matchfixed than anything Saleem Malik and Wasim Akram could have arranged in the 90s. :nervous:

This time its for real, no headstarts for you Indians.

India lose 1-2.

Man of the Series that absolute class player, Kamran Akmal.Maybe he'll have enough money to go to the dentist then along with Kaneria and Nehra.

By the way, Dumpstar and Shah786 you're English aren't you?

Heh heh.Remember the Lillee Miandad incident?Class... Lillee looks almost amused.

Thugs, all your cricketers.;)

And yes I know all Indian cricketers are poofs.

Should be brilliant.. iv waited for this for quite awhile. I do think were a better side, but theyr at home and traditionally we dont do very well there. IMO it is bigger than the Ashes, iv heard most of the English and Aussie commentators conceded to that.. but one more thing, the Indo Pak thing is also less intense than it once was.
Now theres the whole peace thing happening and that trasnlates on to the field. Earlier it was as hostile and tense a sporting occasion could get.. losing to one another was just not accepted, especially for Pakistan because they generally got the better of us.. who can forget the 96 world cup quarter final, Venkatesh Prasad and Aamir Sohail.

Miandad...love the bloke :D

Which broadcaster/channel is showing this series in the UK.

One of the Asian channels Sultan...Zee Tv or summat, you dont have to subscribe for the whole year...just 40 quid to watch the cricket

Call up Sky and find out

Pakistan off to a good start .151-2 with Younis Khan batting on 65.I reckon they'd score around 500 and then India will do the same and the match will be a nice tame draw.

Bah.

Bah.

Pakistan have this special gift of pressing the self destruct button.;)

India are way short in the fast bowling department...Ganguly first change.

What an awful pitch.. it has zero assistance for the bowlers.. Pathan was getting some nice swing early on and should have had Younis Khan had it not been for Darrel Hair doing the usual and fecking up.. but after that its been as dead a pitch as iv seen for ages. If we bat to our potential, this should end in a high run scoring dull draw, which should cause the Pakistani groundsman to think it over, and prepare tracks which will turn this series into something other than a a snore fest... but i fear were going to bottle it when we come out to bat.. :nervous:

I hold a British and Pakistani passport. I'm both in the wonderfully diverse UK.

326 for 2. Thank God you Indians got the dithering Shoaib Malik out early.

Let's hope the self destruct button is not pressed tomorrow.

ps. only ARY Digital (Pak channel) is showing this series.

Yep and thats exactly whats going to happen.Nice and hyped and goes down the drain. But ok I could be wrong and in all probability I will be, considering I'm saying this after a single day's cricket.

And how the hell do you think India will collapse??We have that champion champions, wonder of wonders, scorer of important centuries against Zimbabwe, that genuine whinging cnut called Saurav Ganguly.

I just can't make my mind up about this guy.I of course do hope he proves me wrong and makes me eat my words right off the screen:)

Can't see it happening.

Patience Donado, patience. This wicket is the same one we should have thrashed England on if it wasn't for their 12th and 13th men (aka Rudi and Darryl) supporting them with Inzi's fake runout and other Butt-breaking decisions!

Days 3, 4 and 5 will be spinner dominated and lots of wickets should fall by the last day. Which is why Pakistan need to make hay now.

I hate Darrel Hair.He should have resigned when they gave Muralitharan the benefit of doubt after he reported him.

Or maybe should just have retired a long time for the good of the game. Some terrible trerrible decisions in his last however many years.

Or maybe its just Pakistan...I read that all touring counries used to dread their umpires in the 70s and 80s because they were so obviously biased.:p

And I was just playing when I said that..I don't actually think that will happen.

But if it does I can quote it and look all cool.

Every country's umpires in the old days were biased. Some more so than others. Pakistan 'feared' touring other countries who's umpires were obviously biased! See, its an easy statement to turn around. ;)

However, since neutral umpires have been introduced only Sri Lanka, India and Pakistan fear bias whenever the c*nt Hair or to a lesser extent Koertzen steps forward!!!

Thanks. Free today...suppose i'll have to fork out 40 quid tomorrow.

Well this was bloody anticlimatic.

How hard is it to grow grass on a pitch?

By the fourth day, this will be a bowler's only pitch (spinners anyway). Watch and wait, my friend. Remember its a five day match, not Aussie Rules 20/20. ;)

You saw the footage of him argueing with Dravid and Chappel? Or atleast thats what it seemed like.

Im wary.. normally id expect this to be a boring draw, but i have a bad feeling about this one for some reason.. it being Pakistan an all.

But seriously, were the pitches like this even against England??, because its simply pathetic for the game..

I think pitches are prepared this way because fear of losing far outweighs winning.
