RIP. What a remarkable woman!
I hope so. Other clubs do for long standing employees. This wonderful lady deserves it.Will she get a tribute at tomorrow's game?
Thing is we felt we knew her. Every player that was signed Kath was there when they showed them arriving at the training ground.Ah man. This is nuts. Why did I read through this thread with a massive hangover. Way too emotionally fragile for this. Now I’m in tears about an old lady I knew nothing about before this thread and who lived a good innings. What the feck?!
The messages from all the players across the generations really hit me right in the feels. Maybe because it makes her seem like a constant throughout my own time as a fan? Feck knows. All I know is that I wasn’t ready for this. Not this morning.
Will the club be doing something for her at our next home game?
Thing is we felt we knew her. Every player that was signed Kath was there when they showed them arriving at the training ground.
Louis Saha: “I’m so sad!!! Everyone affiliated to the club knows what she meant for us players and staff. She was our guaranteed smile and support. She was so Manchester United. Peace and Love Kath.”
Norman Whiteside: “Kath, we first met in 1978 when I was on trial. Such a lovely lady, she will be sadly missed from the Man Utd family. RIP.”
Charlie Savage: "Rip Kath "
DJ Buffonge: "Rest in peace , clean hearted Kath "
Demetri Mitchell: "loved by so many generations "
Ravel Morrison: "Angel, One of a kind x rest in peace ️ "
@top1whoisman thanks for doing such a great job. Much appreciated.
Completely agree. As much of a club legend as the ones who kicked a ball about. She deserves all the attention and tributes.
